Harsh. Did you think I wanted to be fed those horrible green drinks that your opposite number fed me? I was there working and, after the performance I put in at SMS it's only natural that Big Phil would want to try to turn my head. But for a player like me this kind of speculation is a normal part fo the summer break and whilst I am flattered by his interest I remain committed to the cause and look forward to reproting back for pre-season

The bit that makes no sense is that you couldn't possibly purchase a component (and therefore extricate it) from something to which it was inextricably linked.
Or is it a bit too optimistic to expect reasonable use of the language from an industry that gave us expressions such as 'the boy done good'?
Yeah, true enough - but being good at running a 'proper' business doesn't automatically mean that given control of a football club the individual doesn't lose all sense and grip on reality - Mike Ashley and Peter Risdale being good cases in point
There's the beauty of quotations. A bloke who would likely have been a Cov fan writing 400 years ago about Scotland a a thousand back - and he's described half the posts on this forum(mine particularly I'd imagine) as perfectly as if he spent half his life hitting f5 on here
Exactly. Challenge is that most of the voices of fandom tend to be self-appointed narcissists.
But I suppose if they found someone thoughtful, realistic and sensible they'd hardly be representative of us lot, would they?
