I'm not sure longevity has anything to do with it, Arsene Wenger and David Moyes have both been around for a long time and have won the nothing between them in the last 7 years.

He's last years Steven Davis

The fact that the question has to be asked in the first place must mean God doesn't exist. If he did, we would know about it, surely?

Should also add that I believe we'll pass West Ham over the next year or two, the style of football fat sam peddles is dead in the water.

I know its rambling off topic, but i guess it proves that what they say about football it correct...its all about opinions. I appreciate that someone like Allardyce would bring the best out of Carroll, but I just don't rate him at all. I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that one, when Carroll retires, ill dig this thread up and one of us can laugh at the other . Although, if I were a West Ham fan, Id be worried about this little statement of footballing intent for next season... ""If we can start with Andy Carroll, that would be a great achievement for us as he can only get better and better, then we build around that in terms of how we want to improve next year, with better quality" - Fat Sam.

Wow, do you honestly believe that!

Whats his role in the team? Does he do it effectively?

Change of mind perhaps, it happens.

Maybe his personal reasons were that he didn't like the house...?

Go you!

If the 10 other players played with the same amount of effort that Crouch showed that season, we wouldn't have gone down IMHO.

Music has changed so much since its "invention" that I would personally like to go forward a couple of hundred years and see what people are listening to. Probably not listening at all - by then you would probably own a holodeck and could perform with any band you liked, at any venue you liked. There should be a thread - "If you had a holodeck...."

http://news.sky.com/story/1091537/dambusters-flypast-to-mark-raid-anniversary Guy Gibson was 24.....twenty f*cking four !!!!

I agree with Reading though. Awful to get in and out of.

Here's an idea, we should have "The 6% gang" - membership of which automatically entitles you to be added to everyone's ignore list.

Stand by your convictions man!

I heard that the final straw was when Nicola said he would defend the claims made by Benali rigorously, then didn't.

times a million?

Sorry, didn't mean you at all. I meant St Marco, i'll re edit.

Maybe all those letters from St Marco etc have had an effect... I hope MC doesn't leave, but if he does, Id like to see some posters on here faces when it dawns on them that have got what they wanted.

100% this.....It would be like 9/11 times a thousand !!!!

Do you think we are mugs, are we supposed to believe that you created a tread without actually knowing all the facts....

From the Collins dictionary: "surpassing what is normal or accepted in enthusiasm for or belief in something; excessively or unusually dedicated or devoted". Cant see any mention of sticking your oar in.

A football club is a business these days, those examples I gave you are also business'. HTH. Some people just cant be "a fan" - they have to get more involved.

Maybe the handing over the reigns of the club formed part of the "secret message" from Marcus that Cortese alluded to, who knows....certainly not us.
