Hi,
On August 13th I will be attempting to walk the Borem Deathmarch, which is 100km in under 24 hours. I hope to raise as much money as possible for the charity Myeloma UK (http://www.myeloma.org.uk/Page.aspx?pid=420)
The reason why I have chosen this charity is because about 2 months ago my Dad was diagnosed with Myeloma (bone marrow cancer). He is about to undergo a bone marrow and stem cell transplant which will hopefully get him on the road to recovery.
Once he eventually gets out of hospital his immune system will be shot to pieces, and as a result, he won’t be able to attend a single game this season (he's a massive saints fan and has been going to The Dell / SMS for the last 55 years...)
Obviously, our main concern is for him to get better, but the prospect of missing one of best seasons ever is not helping his morale.
I hope to raise as much money as possible for Myeloma UK and to try and put a smile on his face.
I appreciate that times are hard, but every donation counts.

Many thanks....
Matt
PS: Mods, I would be very grateful if this was a sticky for a few weeks, thanks
