Totally agree about the chronology of it all.... Leckie's antics down under (if you catch my drift) could have done with some indication as to how long they were there for, you would have bought into his depression if you knew he had been there for months etc. From the way it was shot, it seemed as though he met the chick, then moved in with her family the next day !!! Eps 3 & 4 definitely went down the "Thin red line" route by addressing the psychological issues faced by the marines. I must admit, I thought they were a bit weak and the info could have been conveyed in about 20 mins (and not 1 and a half episodes). Especially considering that they have set aside only 10 episodes to tell the story of the whole Pacific campaign At the start of Ep 5 the narrator mentions that "after 4 months of fierce jungle combat in Cape Gloucester", yet all we saw was rain and Leckie ****ing himself so much he had to go to hospital. Hark at me, it sounds as though I’m slagging it off !!! This is actually one of the best TV series I have ever seen, the effects are better than that of BoB but that’s down to 8/9 years of technology advancements in film making. What more can you ask for....guns...bombs...bazookas (in more than one sense of the word!!)..It’s got the lot. Dubai_Phil: Just wait, 30 mins into Ep 5 and it gets medieval....your GF aint seen nothing yet. !!!

If, like me, your birthday is on May 15th, you'll be aware that the last few years havent been too kind to us. - Relegation from the Prem - Losing to Derby in the playoff's - The return of Lowe Have all happened on May 15th..... Now, last year, we had a rest from having to cope with footballing turmoil on our birthdays, but this year I fear a return of "The May 15th Nightmare" Pomp*y win the cup. If this does happen, Im filing for a change of birthday with the government.

Faaarking hell...... That last 20 mins of Ep5 is as good as ANY war film I've ever seen. From the point when the landing craft comes out of the ship.....to the end of the episode is gripping gripping stuff. Im off to watch it again.... To quote one of the Marines from the the start of the episode "It was a nightmare"

Ah, that's alright then. Funny really, I bought some tickets to see Jedward at the O2 Arena. When they didnt turn up I cried and cried and complained to the promoters. I got this email back from them..... "Dear Marsdinho, They were booked, but that's all we can say at the moment." I felt satisfied that they have indeed looked into my issue and furnished me with a suitable response. I went home a happy customer.

Very sad news. It was always a nice sight when the cameras panned around to see him sat their in the stands with Eric, watching the latest England players... He's probably sat their now with Eric, watching the IPL or something !!!

I dont agree, isnt is a question of who was reacting to who. If Petrov moved 1st and then Hamilton moved to block, then he should have a drive through.... If Hamilton moves 1st and Petrov moves to stay in his slip stream, then he shouldnt. I saw it as the latter happening.
