Rupert, and Clive. That’s the dream team of course…………………..
-
Ralph, we would still be a Prem team with him. Just look at the bloke in dug out last 6 months of him being in charge, just exhausted. Not sure why Katrina is still hanging on anymore. Failed with Jao and now SR.
-
I think Swindon hold the record
-
I know we aren’t Man City with basically 4 prem teams on the bench. Looking at our starting 11, does make you wonder how the F”#k we are bottom. We have a half decent team, as I continue to convince myself.

Jose Fonte to return next season (Twitter Rumour)
Saint Gifford replied to Esher Saint's topic in The Saints
Ah come on, let’s leave the OP and the twitter lad alone. ( I’m just checking my Face-twit, Snatch-book, chat-tik and tok-twitch). To be honest the most important thing that I have read today which is most worrying and also made me feel really pleased tbf. Is the earth is really flat, they have found Elvis on Mars, asteroid alpha 176368800 is due to hit at around 17.40 tonight. I’m really a time traveller, and the lottery numbers for Saturday are 1, 2,3,4,5,6 -
In my very humble opinion, we win or lose over the whole season. We were sunk months ago. I can’t be bothered to look up the last time we weren’t at the bottom, or to put in bluntly in the bottom three. One thing I do know, it was more than 4 games ago. I am however looking forward to next season and “hopefully” the thrill of being top three not bottom three for a change. The only that will wreck that for us, is if SR continue to play us like Football Manager. Just hope they leave the on field stuff to whoever the new team of coaches are, and hopefully they will be people who have been there done it very successfully.

This is why I watched Bristol Manor Farm v Saltash yesterday. I love the Saints, but what the f(;k is going on
-
I still think we are a half decent team, just left it far to late after the NJ experiment Walcott is looking up for it tbf.

I know this isn’t the right thread. But just watching the build up for the Spurs, Utd game. Line up for Spurs, in the sticks with Forster. I know spurs are currently crap, but I know how I would have gone with most of this season. Perhaps we are building a team to win the U14’s league next season. Please excuse me, but just makes a mockery of so say pretend football manager owners. Just buy a PlayStation, you can do what you want for about 500 quid.

Not forgetting Rickieeeee.
-
We are in free-fall. Toxic from top to bottom .

Here we fucking go
-
Best chance of 3 points. Arsenal are imploding…………………………
-
After their performance today, a certain three points. (Which way 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣) Battle of the Spanish Pep pretenders…………………….
-
Don’t want to give up hope just yet. But I can’t see any points coming from our last 7 games. At least we were in a good place to bounce up last time we were in the Championship. It looks to me that the team, owners off field, u23s ect ect aren’t equipped to launch a proper attack this time around. This could take years to get back, unless we sell up again.

Carrick for me. If he would make the move down south. Not just because of Boro, but he seems to go about his business under the radar. He seemed to have had a steady hand at Man U at the time.
-
Appear to be right up for this.
-
Unfortunately for us, Potter is now well above our league (excuse the pun). Plus will he want to swap one complete nutcase of a club for another one.
-
In fairness, he hasn’t had a lot of money to spend according to my city mates. ( wrong side of the river for me, let them sink to obscurity). Lansdown has been ploughing money into Sport Bristol. ( Rugby - Bears. Basketball - Flyers and soon to be Ice Hockey???? Even so players at his disposal, he has not covered himself in glory according to my “red mates”. Their fans expectations are huge given a billionaire owner, yet they won’t sack him and his incompetence. Up for discussion between there fans as why he hasn’t gone. But no I would not have him back., absolutely not.

It’s not just the next manager unfortunately. Our culture, identity, belief, and all those buzz words have gone. I was always a Cortese fan because of how the structure, process from top to bottom that created the right approach to everything. I’m sure that was the start of the “Southampton Way”. A cliche now I know., but at the time really worked. It comes down to the players frame of mind and what’s expected, ie coaches not accepting a sloppy pass or miss controlling the ball in training. ( the right driven coaches have to be employed and stick to these principles). If that happened you are on the bench on the weekend, you don’t play. If you want to play you absolutely don’t miss control or make a bad pass in training. These are the standards, and are non negotiable. If you want to play and if reports were correct back then, that they had personal mattresses and pillows delivered by van to away hotels, that commitment is on you. Players on their own had to get up and run, gym off their own back and not be told. Then you will get everything you need. Personal Fitness is down to the player, drive and ambition is down to the player. Coaching development, direction, positioning down to the staff , management and club. The right club culture, direction from the top, understanding of players and coaches needs. 100% this is the commitment, anything less both coaches, players, staff there is the door, find another club. That’s before we get to stats, moneyball, strength conditioning, food, mental conditioning ect ect ect
-
We were doomed the minute “David Icke” walked in the door. Those were the games where we should have picked up points and secured 17th minimum.
-
Rogers anyone…………………
-
I don’t know, but playing them at their place maybe just what helps us. Get their crowd on their backs early doors and giving DM a bit and there’s a good a chance of 3 points. Our only problem will be sticking it in the onion bag.

For me, the game is won or lost on the starting 11.
