  1. I don't think he will be either. Never said he would be. But I'm not calling for it as our team is just not good enough.
  2. Players just aren't good enough.
  3. I think we're being shown here why we play in a specific way - because trying to play a different way does not work.
  4. Bollocks, that's why last year you put that cringey avatar on your profile and then that #Martinout on your posts. It was fucking embarrassing then, and it's embarrassing now.
  5. Yep, I raised this last year when Burnley didn't purchase him and considering they had Kompany as Manager.
  6. What is the relevance of all that to HB being asleep? You're losing it with your hatred of Martin.
  7. He's not good enough, that's why. I struggle to understand why fans expect Premier League football from Championship players.
  8. Looking good, and playing a different type of football by the look of things. More urgency.
  9. True. Amazed we've got 1 point this season tbh.
  10. Exactly that. Don't think anyone will keep this team up with the strikers on offer.
  11. Sounds like Potter is wanting a bigger job than Southampton...
  12. Don't tend to look at this too much but was looking at it earlier for our shots per game, but expected goals shows just how shit our strikers are compared to the other teams around us. Feels like we're creating enough, just not doing enough with it:
  13. Poorer leagues for a start (Che did well last year, as did Edozie until his injury), but secondly Ruben, Nathan and Ralph never got the best out of Che.
  14. I never said that, that was Manji. I never heard that - it would be very strange that a Manager who would have been sacked had he lost the Playoff Final would be given full control of transfers just because he did.
  15. Yeah, would prefer him to Potter tbh. It's whether he'd be interested in us. The only problem is usually his teams are very large/agricultural. We don't have those type of players so not sure how he'd manage with that.
  16. Not sure about that - there is every chance he can't. I think we need someone who's not as much as a risk (and an actual upgrade on Martin).
  17. Ah, got it.
  18. Although, if he gets sacked this week, I'd take Ten Hag...just not sure if that's realistic.
  19. And herein lies the issue - I've not heard one name of someone who is a realistic upgrade yet on this thread.
  20. What makes him a bullshitter?
  21. I would prefer we bring in a player who plays to our players strengths if we're going to bring one in. Dont know what those strengths are though. As a Brighton local I remember the celebrations (and laughter) when Chelsea took him on. He was not well-rated round here. I think we'll be begging for the entertainment of Russell Martin if we brought him in.
  22. The issue is he relies on very defensive football, and a lot of 1-0 wins - I don't think we have the players to do this - our defence and strikeforce are too weak.
  23. Because we had a team of Championship players. Tbf, those 4 players cost us a grand total of £28m and £100k pw. Not exactly breaking the bank is it? But fine, you don't think we had any financial restrictions - we'll have to agree to disagree.
  24. You two are aware the way PSR works don't you? Purchases are over the length of the contract, and sales are against that years accounts. We were told we HAD to sell to spend anymore, which suggests that we were literally out of PSR space for this season (or over the past 3). No, there is no Echo article quoting the Financial Controller, but I would suggest you read what was said over the Summer, and view the players we bought (with reference to transfer and wages) to see what market we were buying in.
