Looks like Blackmore has changed his tune on Fernandes. As I said earlier, links have cooled as cost is too high.

He said he's not ITK, so it's all common sense

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
Farmer Saint replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
They are all asylum seekers before the decision is granted. That is fact. If you are granted asylum you are no longer an asylum seeker, you are a refugee. I just want to clear this up as there seems to be some confusion in the replies to others that I am seeing. -
This feels like a decoy for Rak Saki...
-
But it's not a sustainable model for growth. Anyway, irrelevant of this, it's what I heard early Summer and none of our business so far shows it to be incorrect information.
-
He won't go to West Ham, not without a very cheap release clause. They're going down as Potter is a shit Manager (RM mk2).
-
Not true, they cost less this year and will allow flexibility to replace next year (1 year more amortised value off the books). Don't forget PSR is never an issue for the year in play, it's what that 3rd year constitutes looking back over the previous 2.
-
Not from what I've heard. A lot has got to change in not a lot of time to make that happen.
-
In which case we'd need cover. That would be where we might use the loan market.
-
We desperately need to shift Aribo, BBD and probably Edozie (sadly). I reckon the 3rd signing will depend on that.
-
I get that, but unless desperate we don't want to be in that situation again. I'm not making the decisions.
-
Yeah, he was our best player though, and we'd have been stupid to not sign him for a RM side.
-
Because of (FFS, I will say it) PSR - we don't want to have to spend to stand still. It cuts our finances down too far for what we need if we get promoted. Having it on the previous years accounts means we have more wiggle room.
-
Not the model for this year. Last time we did it and it meant we couldn't compete financially as we had to pay through the nose for THB and Downes. Change in strategy for this year.
-
I was told that back in May/June by someone who is ITK from a more holistic viewpoint (he's an agent). I think it was also confirmed later in the Summer by someone at the club.
-
Very pleased with Azaz, good player and what we need. Gets the ball on the half-turn and creates space and pulls defenders all over the place.
-
To any saying about loan signings. We are not loaning players unless a last resort. Have repeated this all Summer. We do not want another THB/Downes situation next season.
-
And I think it looks like this guy (who I can't pronounce his name) and Roerslev are slightly above that, having proven themselves in better divisions. That's all I was saying. And I called this out when we signed THB and Downes, so no Captain Hindsight here from me 😉
-
We had to sign THB, we had no choice as it was written into the contract. Downes is a good player when in a Martin system, and we got promoted with Martin so it made sense to purchase him. I just think they're average, that's all. Hypo thinks they're much better than that. Not sure there is much else to say about it.
-
As we discussed yesterday, our squad is very similar to last time in terms of quality, so not sure why that team was capable of autos yet this one is only capable of playoffs?
-
I'm not sure that means anything? A polling of the country thought it would be a good idea to leave the EU. Polls mean jack shit in relation to reality.
-
Mads is above that level I'd say.
-
Some questions marks?? It's blatantly obvious. Don't forget Smallbone and Adam Armstrong were also key. I don't rate them, never have. When we signed THB the biggest strike against him was he was part of a defence that conceded a fuck ton of goals in the Championship, and that Vincent Kompany decided he wasn't worth signing for £15m. That raises huge question marks. He was then part of a defence in the PL with a good keeper, and we still conceded a shit load, irrespective of which manager was in charge. It's fine that I don't rate them, and you do, but personally I want better players than that as I think they're distinctly average Championship players (THB may be slightly above average).
-
Yeah, I know, but may have been bought thinking he can be that creative spark behind the striker. That wouldn't do.
-
I don't rate either as any good. Downes only plays well for Martin, and THB is one of the most over-rated CBs I've seen, only masked by the fact Bednarek and Stephens were so shit alongside as well.
