So you don't think he's doing a good job, but the team is also not very talented, and we are likely to end up with 90+ points. I genuinely don't believe that both of those statements can possibly be true.

We're not in the Premier League so don't think that's an issue at the moment.

But we have a squad, and first team, with a shit spine of Bazunu, Bednarek, Smallbone and Adams. I agree overall the squad is decent(ish), but it's nowhere near the Adkins squad of 2011, and he only finished 2nd...

I'd be very interested to see a poll of fans on here, on whether we should sack Russell Martin - I don't think we should, personally I think he's doing a good job - but there is a very vocal number of supporters on here that seem to think he should. @Lighthousecan we make it happen?

We were told by our fans on here that he was playing really well and really shit, was a massive asset and out biggest weakness. Thank fuck our fans know so much about the game.

I will continue to scream this until I'm blue in the face - inability to cope with pressure is not a coach managed skill - it is a mental skill that needs to be dealt with by a shrink. Our defence are too weak mentally, and it is an issue that has plagued us for the last 4 years or so, regardless of which players, managers and coaches are at the club.

But Manning has cost us so many goals this season it's been ridiculous. This is where the difficulty is. I knowartin brought him in but even Martin has realised that he's fucking shit defensively.

People have really been wound up by Martin, outside of his performance, haven't they? If this was Adkins he'd be getting far more leeway (and to be fair we were 1 point better off with the same amount of games and a much better team under Adkins, and the next game we lost 3-0 away at Blackpool!). I think it's this perceived arrogance. Personally I don't find him that way at all, but I guess each to their own.
