I was so happy to see the end of last season because it was awful as a Saints fan and that this season I could at least see us win some games but it’s almost feeling identical as our Prem disaster. We are broken guys well and truly and it’s now about avoiding another relegation. SR have perfected getting it wrong!

Yeah you’ve got a point. Fellows looks poor because he’s a winger with no target to cross to. I’m just a little salty about Spors not fixing the #9 problem and wasting 7M on a player that will be another squad bloating boat anchor we can’t move on. So far Scienza looks the best of the bunch while Downs and Azaz disappointing

Please give me some leeway, if six chefs all fail to make a good dish with the same ingredients perhaps they aren’t all bad chefs, it might just be the shite ingredients they were given. Yes Will is not my personal favorite but every manager has failed miserably here in recent years. A lot of the goals we concede are coco the clown defending and our attacking focal point has been awful for years. SR and Spors are the ones that need to get their act together and sacking another manager is not making this lot into a 5-star meal

Downs is our classic “one for the future” or “resale value” the problem is we needed a striker for today in the here and now and we have done for several seasons. How much of the 7M do you think we will get back after DD shows the world he can’t make in Championship football. We’ve ended up with Wrong player Wrong price Wrong league Wrong purchase!

A proper #9 that can compete physically with Championship center backs and win crosses, it’s not that bloody complicated, you’ve brought in wingers but can’t s win headers, crazy.

With Stewart injured I’m afraid we are going to be subjected to more shite from Downs unless we move AdamA there which hurts him or Archer. Either way who the hell is Fellows meant to cross to? Three bloody years we’ve asked for a proper #9 and Spors give us Downs🤬 Ollie McBurnie was a free, he would have at least given us a physical presence in the box. 1’s and 9’s will save an average team, that’s just a basic fact that seems to allude SR & Spors

3 points away from home is always good and to see Ross look like a striker was a added plus. That said at some stage I’d like to see us play well for longer periods, hopefully that comes soon🙏

We spent 8M euros on Downs while Hull go McBurnie on a free transfer. One of them bullied their markers, scored and got an assist while the other looked terrified and disinterested. We desperately needed the finished product and not a project/maybe. Downs will join the growing list of piss poor center forwards that seems to have no end

45 minutes of long balls to a midget striker, followed by 25 minutes of crosses to the same player and finished with 20 minutes of crosses to a taller striker that doesn’t win many headers. Our number 9’s don’t cut it and haven’t done so for a long time

I agree 100% that our chances and creativity will improve, it’s just up to date our 9’s haven’t shown the edge needed to capitalize on it. Fingers crossed 🙏

Spors has done a great job in the last few signings with two good wingers and a solid #10, my worry is who will finish the extra chances they create? Our 9’s have not shown that any of them are up to scoring the amount of goals needed to gain promotion. Between them they’re missing more sitter than actually scoring.

My mistake, still not great or encouraging reading from a club that claims to want to gain promotion. Surely if they are serious about getting back up. Our window so far is tragic.

Stoke have been in the Championship for the last 6-7 years while we’ve spent 5 of those in the Prem, yet somehow they’ve managed to find a front 3 that put our attacking options to shame. They looked faster, more direct and physically capable than any thing we have. Something in our scouting department is seriously lacking and looks like a cunning Baldrick plan with only days to go. They paid 4m for the lad on the right and he looked dangerous

Not one of our attackers are physically capable of giving a center back a hard time, no power or strength and our pace is woeful. All 3 Stoke forwards looked capable of beating their marker 1v1 whilst I don’t see that in any of our group of strikers. We are not getting promoted if it’s not addressed within this remaining window.

Top 3rd of the pitch is AA with two big centerhalf’s either side of him and no Saints players within 15 yards. No attacking presence with very little chance of scoring. SR need to stop buying strikers that can’t contribute! We have that in abundance already

So the club has sold a talented young player for big money, which is our club’s plan to move forward. That said please for the love of god can we add to the starting 11 and not more bloody squad fillers that contribute nothing but frustrating cameos and are hard to shift later. 1-2 quality players rather than 3-5 substandard replacements

I totally disagree, AArm, BBD and Archer scare the crap out of me.

Good result but not a great performance. We are seriously lacking power and pace in attack. Would like to see some useful transfers instead of rumors but we still have time. Highlights for me, Jay’s goal and it looks like Baz has become a much better keeper 🙏
