TBF, I actually found those funny. If you can’t laugh it’s going to be a very long season.

No different to mixed housing being built at scale right behind our Gloucestershire Cotswold stone town. Locals hated it, still hate it, but planners forced it through anyway with consummate ease. Yet when we wanted to replace our extension - no new footprint, the planners put us through a year of hell before approval. And then building control forced changes to the foundations last week which will cost thousands more. See, we can all claim the two tier thing and not a brown person in sight. At the end of the day, we don’t have the ability to grease palms or produce brown envelopes. We’re local residents working with a small, high quality local builder.

Sends a message on THB as well.

Who had Chris Wood sealing a penultimate ball win with a 6 on their bingo card?
-
Not as much as yogurts going out of date.

Never thought Karel Poborsky would turn into such a decent manager 😉
-
Scots undone not just by their Russball last night but negativity in the first game v Haiti. They’ve got a very decent midfield (defence, keeper and attack shite) but seemed reluctant to feed the ball into it at the first opportunity.

Ecuador 🇪🇨 throughly deserved that, been much the better side. Surprised they hadn’t scored and only a point from their first two games based on this display.

I did see the referee and assistants, thinking straight away of a SWF regular poster fuming…..

Paying £13m for Angus Gunn, or whatever robbery it was, was pure early onset as a transfer and almost as bad as Bazunu.
-
And nearly 3. More horrific defending and overplaying. Getting Saints autumn 2024 flashbacks,
-
Like Bazunu, he’d drop it if he got anywhere near it. Has his dad’s name but that’s about where goalkeeping abilities end.
-
Great cross and header but horrific defending leading up to it, Gunn couldn’t catch Covid.
-
More suicideball at the back nearly costs them again. Has Russell Martin kidnapped Steve Clarke and is wearing a Clarke mask to impersonate? Because they are playing like Southampton FC autumn 2024 edition.
-
Also, I know the first was stupid passing at the back nonsense but what was Angus Gunn doing?
-
Scotland would have deserved that again for playing lazy Russell Martin-ball. The only reason you’d play around the back like that is if your players are very unfit. Very lucky there.

That’s two bunches of grapes I’ve got to take into hospital now. @Lord Duckhunter is in there after suffering a heart attack at the sight of all the scantily dressed young women of Poole and now @Challenger with his dehydration..

On a lighter note, a tasty little morsel for Soggy to enjoy (and everyone else)

My reaction live was ‘that’s going to be a penalty’ and surprised although not amazed it wasn’t given. Saw the replay and thought ‘I must have got it wrong as they never referred it to VAR’ and it was quite blatant that Konsa got nowhere near the ball! It was a horrible game, Kane missed at the sitter at the end, but it could have been far worse.

Not surprised Westwood’s developed a beer belly. That beard isn’t doing much for him though. Wonder where the other Pompey Bandstand members are?
-
Yes, that was the impression I got from the elections access officer in Romney Marsh I’m afraid. Mrs Sums is ok to cast her vote though.

When you can understand them without subtitles in news clips and documentaries about their areas.

Good summary, well written, of the opportunities but also substantial threats Burnham faces https://inews.co.uk/opinion/why-andy-burnham-needs-to-grow-up-4493419?srsltid=AfmBOoriCYFISG2C6_Tq8-WvwbzVc-rQz-qQJ-bYGZ0j_h8LmVZTV6Mo -
Farage showing bad temper again over the £5m gift by shadowy Thai-based crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne (originally from Sheffield so I don’t think it’s Niccy!) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0vx2edk0vo Not the first time recently and Dominic Lawson tells an interesting story at a dinner where he was on the same table as Farage and James Cleverley gently ribbed Farage in this speech but nothing nasty or offensive Lawson reckoned. Farage turned purple with rage and and was yelling ‘Go Fuck Yourself’ at Cleverley when the other guests were laughing.
