  1. Should hypnotise him to believe the blue shirts are still Birmingham City.
  2. The Blues at work will love that, not. They don’t like the amount of passing around the back they do already away from home.
  3. Three points if it was at Kingsholm for Archer. Unfortunately, he’s playing football at SMS instead.
  4. Saints love buying shortarses.
  5. Even Chris Iwulemo can see that the style of play is making Saints too easy to push back and bemoaning the lack of risk-taking to create spaces to play into midfield. Shite free kick Scienza.
  6. Never a penalty. Millwall much the better team, Saints holding on here.
  7. So fucking needless too, horrific style of football, even Branfoot’s was better to watch.
  8. The darts happens at pace…
  9. Humphries v van Veen should be an epic tonight, Luke in ominous form.
  10. I’ve turned over briefly inbetween the WDC QF matches and it is not inspiring to say the least. There are over-50s leagues on a Sunday which would play at a better tempo.
  11. Hope Tonda had the bag ready to pick it up though.
  12. This as well - aged like a post-NYE buffet dump https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/09/03/suspect-old-friend-liz-truss-will-radical-british-prime-minister/
  13. And you can set your watch by which posters it will be - ‘I miss Wussell’
  14. I’ve got this vision now of an older woman clad in black dictating the transfer activity.
  15. It gives them time to avoid boxing themselves in stupidly as they have done in the last summers eg McCarthy’s nonsense extension and George Long and Ramsdale loans. McCarthy out of contract, Bazunu one year left and let him go on a nominal. With the City pedigree there will be another Rasmus-type who might take a punt. The loan fee cushions some of the hit on Ramsdale - promoted team £15m. If Peretz is genuinely decent, then he could be #1 if Bayern don’t want too much, if he’s ok then bring in #1 competition like this (he is quite good) https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/derby-county-struck-gold-with-jacob-zetterstrom-wolves-brentford-wanted-him/ and if he’s crap he returns to Bayern/they want daft money.
  16. Tend to agree, nothing to lose in terms of league position. If he looks like he won’t adapt quickly then McCarthy it is Fratton.
  17. Hmmm, does the condescending remind you of anyone on here? Perhaps with a link to a former French crop-circling winger? SFC media team has another account live it appears.
  18. The classic example was the first season at SMS, when Festa (pre-fish) was sent off just after Saints had equalised v Boro. Gareth Southgate literally talked and organised the defence and midfield through what was needed throughout the last 20 minutes plus Mark Schwarzer claiming every set piece Saints put it plus Delap’s throws. Loads of us commented on it at the time. Lacking a CB leader, a Southgate, a Fonte, as well as a keeper who will clean up and out around their box (McCarthy is better than Bazunu at this but the club ought to be aiming for far better. Bazunu’s distribution is also massively over-stated).
  19. What score did you give on GlassDoor?
  20. My expectations are rock bottom but the fact that at least Eckert and Spors can see how appalling Bazunu and McCarthy are that Hamburg’s reserve can replace them is something at least. Four keepers now, unless Long can be returned to Norwich or Bazunu gets loaned out again….nah, that can’t happen can it?
  21. Also in jest, you reminded this of this Little Britain sketch series which ran
  22. Fucking boring to boot.
  23. Or the other Sky Sports Channels, or indeed Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount, ITV X etc etc. Even better, the local pub with no live sport on and when the evenings get lighter a nice walk in the countryside. Farm shops are a good Saints alternative for the Saturday games with far more variety than watching THB pass slowly to Wood, to Stephens, to Manning, to Bazanu, back to THB and repeat. Occasionally bringing the right back if it’s someone the other squad members talk to.
  24. This is the team and formation which logically should be playing subject to fitness but we all know won’t be.
  25. Tongue in cheek response I know, and it wasn’t specific to Starmer but the country as a whole since the credit crunch. We just cannot seem to get major projects completed vaguely on time/on budget and/or maintain major infrastructure we already have (this being a case in point but there’s loads of overheads/points faults all the time all over the UK).
