  1. They do tolerate it though as we’ve seen. Pellegrino was only really opposed despite dreadful underperformance and horrific football just before he was sacked in March 2018 when the guy was clearly a mental health wreck and would’ve been gone by November at any other PL outfit. Look at the Rangers reaction to Martin compared to ours at this point of last year. 20-30 years ago our fanbase didn’t have quite the breadth but they had backbone, not the jellyfish of recent years. They, the players led by Stephens and SR deserve each other.
  2. Featherlight though, tears and leaks through the middle.
  3. He fucking does say it all the time - the last 20 away games at the very least. He might as well just send it to the press via ChatGPT.
  4. He’s going to cop some serious shit (possibly the odd object - not that I ever condone that) from the stands if he plays again in the Boro game with that attitude. That’s three times he’s missed it/almost fallen over the ball in front of goal and three sitters missed. Typical SR project signing - and whilst Mara was a lazy git too, technically he was miles ahead of this bloke. Paul Moody was tall, basic and not very good but at least he put himself about for Branfoot and did well at Oxford. Where does the club find these players - Carrillo, Onachu, Downs? Austin was saying on the podcast that in the first training session Guido Carrillo was at, the players were astonished as what he cost, looked nowhere a PL player.
  5. Didn’t seem that fussed post-match either similar to Redknapp considering he just got a hiding at a team heavily tipped for relegation. Was on slightly thin ice after the no-show at home to Pompey and much thinner again after today. I think he’ll just put it down to Saints being a basket case needing new owners who know what they’re doing and get another job by November probably overseas again. The usual meaningless drivel from Stephens at the other end of the spectrum. Fair play to anyone who is willing to build their weekend around watching these jokers. Turkish and his son are probably in the image somewhere hopefully giving a range of wanker, v-signs or middle fingers at him.
  6. Seeing as the media team have always been keen to banter the opposition, why not turn it on the boys and have them coming out to Slow by Rumer. Perfect for their lethargic nature. Hate slow teams having grown up on watching the Wallace brothers (Danny and Rod that is).
  7. To think we sang ‘Captain Crap’ at Glenn Cockerill. Played on for too long at the top level but very good player in his 1980s peak. Jack’s never been anywhere that level. Bring back the ‘Captain Crap’ when his name is announced, rub Spors nose in it.
  8. I think this is why Will is on thin ice now. Going to take a sudden clicking of the new players and a run of wins to keep his job which I cannot see for the life of me.
  9. The Cornish Beckenbauer is though. Second SR pet after Gavin.
  10. That’s fucking shocking.
  11. Out fanbase is bigger than it was for the Branfoot protests in the early 1990s but they’ve got 0.2% of the backbone. Mirrors what’s on the pitch, in the dug out and in the boardroom perfectly. Wet Wet Wet. I used to think Devon and Cornwall were the graveyard of ambition but it’s actually Hampshire.
  12. Mads has sunk to their level. Still’s replacement needs to just tell him to play like he did for Brentford when they went up and to ignore the other three twats.
  13. The pressure from upstairs and the obsessions over SR ‘projects’ is at the heart of why the club is failing. 2014/15 and 2015/16 were so enjoyable in part because Ronald basically told Les to fuck off when he stuck his nose in. WGS tolerated with Lowe up to a point but Rupert knew the boundaries unlike the other managers. Cortese knew the boundaries with Poch. Appy is right that we couldn’t afford Dyche now but it’s the type of no-bullshit manager needed to detoxify the whole club and keep SR at arms length so recruitment and football operations are left to the experts. Ankerson, Spors and Solak being told to keep their nose out and stump up when needed would help no end.
  14. League 1 here we come (again).
  15. That was bizarre. Either Still has appalling judgement or he’s wet behind the ears and told by the SR board to play Bazunu.
  16. It appears so
  17. Could be a chance to go one better than 9-0. SR could really make their mark.
  18. It’s a bit like Barings Bank doing the same with Nick Leeson - ‘we sent him on all of those regulatory banking and ethics courses he ignored, but after the prison sentence it’ll be alright’.
  19. It’s amazing how high shit can be stacked.
  20. Was a good player but we’d be replacing Ross Stewart basically.
  21. It’s the other end of the table if he stays - can’t even see Saints matching Luton’s points total last season at this rate. If SR fancy a crack at League 1, they should keep him by all means.
  22. If SR take us down as far as the National League - if Solak really wants to rub it in on behalf of Milan Mandaric - Bazunu would still be the worst keeper in that division. Only consolation of his latest Frank Spencer display is that even Spors might actually think twice about giving the Irish Tommy Forecast a new contract.
  23. Unless there is a total transformation in his performance and technique, his place in my worst ever XI is safe up front. Makes Carrillo look like Jan Koller by comparison. At least he will never get into my Saints worst ever top flight XI. Bazunu has the ‘honour’ of being in goal for both.
  24. And he wasn’t even at the club when Martin was here, so why the hell is he doing that? Needs to be a bollocking from the bench and stands when the players check back like that needlessly, snap them out of it through pure fear if nothing else works. Frustrated groans aren’t cutting it
  25. You’d never find late middle aged white graduates of Dulwich College in Reform. Nor Eton or Radley Colleges. Or from Uppingham Public School in Surrey. Oh no. Nor studying at Oxbridge. Reform are being tagged the Black Panthers in the press due to their sheer spectrum of ethnic diversity and staggering rise from comprehensive education backgrounds.
