  1. Could look a bit naff...and short-lived if we have crash, burn and end up relegated this season...the last Est. 1885 one if I were choosing (but that font....).
  2. It's the massive boost to their corporate facilities that will probably make the biggest difference.
  3. Clear now that it's just a mock-up as it ain't Draper on front of shirt (and old logo used) but if it was I'd say the more-white version was the better design. Kits will never please everyone (thought last season was shit...the second time round!) but it's only for a year whatever it is.
  4. Nice looking shirt just as it is (those dark blue shorts would go nice with that) but surely just a mock-up with #thesaintscentre plastered across it?
  5. Maybe some would say ‘shielding’, some might say ‘obstruction’ Opinions, eh? 😎
  6. O shower of Scotland... Quite enjoyed the end of the game, no real quality but entertaining. Not a pen for me, Armstrong stepped across the defender and grabbed his shirt looking for it, just a 50-50 messy tangle really. Fair result, Hungarians 1 the "anyone-but-England" 0. ...and send them homeward tae think again
  7. But £55m to strengthen.
  8. What is Keegan up to these days?
  9. 🎶 Chim chiminey, chim chiminey, chim chim cher-oo, We hate those b'stards in love hearts and blue, Chim chiminey, chim chiminey, chim chim cher-ee They came to the Joiners and off did they flee* 🎶 *I added the second line for a bit of nostalgia
  10. You sound more like an accountant than a farmer- they sure breed some clever farmers in Sussex 😁 Loan would be good depending on fee or if WHU subsidising wages
  11. Now we've relocated away fans hopefully we'll only give them the maximum 3,000 requirement. The club aren't saying season tickets are sold out, just that they've been taken off sale to new buyers - I would think that only apples until July 1st. They have to reserve seats previously belonging to last season's ST holders but yet to be renewed. After that it will become clear, many will have moved due to the remodelling of the stadium, I would imagine a reasonable number will again become available to new buyers, initially to those on the waiting list. Will likely sell out remainder then.
  12. Very sad news, condolences to all. RIP Elijah
  13. Deep pockets? we may need them
  14. There was a Hedge End Saints flag part covered by that big Millwall flag near the halfway line, disappeared second half, probably moved it elsewhere. These were on the BBC live thread in the build-up
  15. Already taken. Unfortunately.
  16. Woke up in a cold sweat this morning with a troubling thought...with our limited songbook and as we've lost a few chants (Stu Armstrong, Aribo rumored to possibly be off and as we aint gonna be challenging for europe, so no EI-EI-EI-O) was fearing we may be left with just even more OWTS but it could be worse...the return of the Lallana wave.
  17. Yep, it's a real thing.... https://store.southamptonfc.com/clothing/collections/retro/3147_saints-retro-mash-up-shirt.html
  18. We sold more season tickets last year than in the Premier League 22/23.
  19. It looks a bit futuristic compared to the rest of the stadium but I don't dislike it. From inside I can't see any expansion we might do looking much different and that would add 8,000 seats. Maybe the roof is a bit too blue for us...but I'm sure we wouldn't just copy them anyway.
  20. No. We’ll probably sell more corp in the PL but won’t be sold out for all games and that’s include in total capacity which appears well short of 32,000 these days. As mentioned, less 3,000 for aways, more with segregation and the club will certainly hold at least a couple of thousand home seats back for match day sells. Reckon of a max of 26,000 STs would be available. But looking at the amount of seats in block 29 and Itchen North I think it’s possible the club have already released some seats as ST holders have relocated. July 1st will make things clearer.
  21. Block 29 is just about the only block left with reasonable availability (towards the top), everywhere else is down to, mostly, a smattering of single seats. The only other area with a few more is the ‘old’ Itchen North. It will be interesting to see what becomes available on July 1st.
  22. Two seats together just become available in the Northam Block 41 if anyone looking… https://tickets.southamptonfc.com/selection/subscription?productId=10228644212981&polygonId=P_Block_41&blocks=101395930217&areas=&ot=0
  23. There's not a bad view in the entire stadium, if you pick a seat behind the goal or in the corner you should be able to work out what you'll be seeing, the only difference really is the row, low or high, that you're sitting in. The stadium appears to expand the higher you go, I prefer above halfway myself and you can get a virtual view when you click on any available seat in the seat selection on the OS.
  24. You're right, it's usually glossed over on these anniversaries much like how many documentaries about Titanic neglects to mention the impact on Southampton other than the point it set sail from. Of the 1,500 lives lost, around half were crew working below decks with the vast majority coming from here, Having been built there, Belfast is usually the focus of attention but it was far more devastating for many Southampton families. We should shout louder about our city.
  25. Looking at the new away section blocks 22-28 must be 3,000 seats for the PL, would only have needed to be 2,000 if we hadn’t gone up. I assume blocks 27-28 would have gone to home fans in the Championship. And guess the visitors will get blocks 21-22 for the additional FA Cup allocations.
