  1. One that, I believe, has never been a manager, the other currently in the Norwegian second division. Probably true then.
  2. That was a very reasonable suggestion 11 years ago, if only we had someone who could occasionally stick the ball in the net…and had a four syllable name. Probably too much to ask for.
  3. It’s…ahem…a long term project, it might/might not work but keep buying the tickets, purchase the food, drink and merchandise and one day it might just work. They chose SFC for this experiment as too many of our (passive) support wouldn’t grumble and not kick up too much of a fuss but those pesky other ones, after a few years of mostly shite, are running out of patience. Sort it out.
  4. The Rhondda-James Bonda
  5. Probably the drugs talking but I feel a little away win coming, I’ll go The Rhondda 1 v The Tonda 2 Headlines already written ‘TONDA VALLEY’
  6. Amazing he ever moved over 100 miles from Exeter to Southampton in the first place really.
  7. Player/manager?
  8. Funnily enough, I've never noticed it before, but I've just walked across that bridge and amazingly.....
  9. ...like most of the others fookers around him.
  10. Just out of interest, what does your football agent mate have to say, he seemed to be somewhat in-the-know previously?
  11. Echo everyone’s thoughts, sad news - RIP
  12. The only way that happens is if someone buys Ramsdale in Jan. Only loaning him in the summer ruled out bringing anyone other than a third choice in, he was never coming back so should have tried harder to sell. And he’s now said he already wants to make the Newcastle move permanent https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aaron-ramsdale-makes-newcastle-united-32833060.amp
  13. The press box inside St Mary's is in the Chapel side of the Itchen stand and they appeared to hear it OK from there and reported on it, Alfie House said it was loud and clear. So the Directors box would certainly have heard it, maybe the *cough* fan (likely sitting in there) disputing this does need to get his ears tested.
  14. ...Viera.....Russell Martin.................................................................
  15. Wishful thinking but it brightens the day...
  16. Viera is a good shout for me, would he now see himself above a (which we presently are) struggling Championship club? But I agree with 'sfc4prem' and others that he'd walk through the door with the aura of a Koeman. Instant respect. He's the kind of personality that this club is now crying out for, you'd expect he would have a fairly instant impact at this level. If O'Neil didn't have this connection and self-confessed admiration for the skates I would say he wasn't the worst choice, I still wouldn't want him, and I think he may very well improve through experience. But anyone who went down there in 2005, we were (in hindsight) lucky not to get in until long after kick-off as the OB deliberately delayed our trains, saw the damage saggy had done to that side that day...anyone got that shot of Redknapp winking...?
  17. Anyone who says he grew up a Millwall fan (or any other club) but later switches support to a different club is little more than a cunt imo - even more reason to sack this stupid fookin' idea off He also said that even when he was manager down there he'd have "walked over broken glass" to get the Southampton job. He was a fantastic player for us, two spells, and one of my favourite eras as manager. He may very well have had affection for the skates from his time there, he was a likeable fella, but he loved Southampton.
  18. FFS …20 years ago 😳 Booooo to the ex-skate btw
  19. Ankerson said as much when SR first acquired Goztepe. He stated he saw them as the biggest club.
  20. I would suggest Armstrong's comments are borne out of frustration, as was, I believe, Wood's reaction at full time on Saturday. I would also suggest that they are two of the few players who are giving 100% and probably (and understandably) pissed off hearing fans chanting "you're not fit to wear the shirt" when they clearly are and being scapegoated with their slacking team mates. I'm in my 60s and I've never earned more in a year working 40+ hours a week than what a very average Saints player earns in....a week...for playing football. To those it applies, wake up and join the real world, respect the club, this city and more importantly the fans. This is what awaits any new manager, good fucking luck.
  21. I quite like Dragan Solak, if there is any protest today (not expecting much) hopefully it's specifically aimed at Sport Republic rather than the owner. Edit: I'm out of posts for today (thank fuck as I ain't getting in an endless discussion with MLG) so just in reply, as I say, I quite like the fella and I separate the two in as much as Solak said from the start he wasn't particularly a football man and he put his trust in a bunch of chancers using us as an experiment. Yep, it probably means he goes if SR go but my disdain is particularly aimed at the SR mugs. Anyway, that's it from me.
  22. It probably would but that's just the perfect chant for Claudio (Radio) Braga (Ga Ga), anything else would just seem a cheap imitation really.
  23. needs a song 🎶 "We love Scienza, if it's quite alright We love Scienza, in the red and white We love Scienza Trust in me when I say" 🎶
  24. I'd bet Will Still is tempted to pop in the store and get a red and white striped shirt with Baz's name and number on just in case.....if we're losing with 10 mins to go and we're gonna just start bombarding their box he just as well sling someone on who can actually get on the end of the balls in. Failing that, someone could sneak round and set one of the warehouses alight behind the Chapel to get the game called off. Worked last time.
  25. He was just reminding us all of Preston away and giving a nudge for the weekend. Got on that lovely, great head! Shame loads had already piled out by then and missed that ending.
