  1. To make more of an impact, there probably needs to be a bit more of this outside while the SR bods are entertaining their clients. But rather than flares and the supportive chants in May, more along the lines of “Sports Republic, your football is shit”, “You don’t know what you’re doing”...you get the gist
  2. £20 adults (plus booking fee...) £5 under 18s - probably should have been a fiver across the board if they wanted a reasonable crowd for this! https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/ticket-information-for-swansea-fa-cup-fixture
  3. He does sport the required beard so a good start. His club CD Santa Clara are based in the Azores so that means a 2,000 mile round trip for every away game, maybe he's sick of airports. Away to Middlesbrough next season will feel like a doddle.
  4. Or knew his time here was going to be short and didn't really give a fuck. He needed a stepping stone to get to United from City.
  5. You got that bit right. First time for everything.
  6. Tedious PR* *insert your last 3 letters of choice However, I may be reading a bit too much into this but considering the possibility that he may have gone with that last sentence. Fingers crossed.
  7. If some want to protest then boycotting games won't do much, they already have money in the bank from record season ticket sales. The club make little to no money on away games so that won't hurt much either. A bit of booing ain't making much difference but what may embarrass the board is if a noisy mob was stood outside the main stand disrupting the fun in the corporate suites. If things don't change and we timidly go back down then they may be in for a bigger shock next season as fans may very well turn their backs on the club.
  8. Interesting to see that Muhammad is now the most popular boys name in England and Wales (and this also doesn't include variations of the name like Mohammed and Mohammad which rate high but counted separately). I'd say what's happening to our country is that it's rapidly changing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly4g2v0ej6o
  9. Last Christmas I gave you my heart, But the very next day you gave it away. This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to Russe ...Tyler Dibling I'll take a stab at a 3-1 loss, Archer may have an extra spring in his step and get on the score sheet.
  10. Only a day to wait for the next installment of an opposition manager *cough* gushing over RM's brave tactics. I think we can easily predict Unai Emery's glowing praise to the awaiting press "...I love the way he sticks to his principles, I particularly admired that inspired U-bend formation v Forest (whispers hope he tries that again soon) just keep doing what you're doing" Patronising (tick), condescending (tick), sarcastic (tick), bullshitting (tick).
  11. As an Administrator are you asked to do this shit just to provoke a reaction to keep the board busy, or are you just a contrarian by nature?
  12. Unfortunately, I don't think they've been discussing the manager's future with a TV crew filming it. They should be though.
  13. Yep, best wishes Tommy
  14. Probably...but only if they let us count the postponed game for all our suspensions
  15. Yep, that's the reality, and you can probably chuck KWP into that mix too, but hanging onto the slim hope of holding out until the summer. Unfortunately they'll be lining up down Britannia Road for Dibling in Jan, fighting to get him before someone else does.
  16. Let's hope the club's knees don't buckle under tempting offers for Dibling and Fernandes in Jan as then we'd be really really fucked.
  17. I can certainly see this happening now as the transfer window opens shortly. The club will want to show ABK is fit and willing to potential suitors much as they unexpectedly chucked him in against Cardiff in the cup as the window was about to close. He should be in because he's a better player than anything else available for this match, and probably before too.
  18. Info for travellers from their OS https://assets.ctfassets.net/rrpvignygaa1/11FaT4tmJlSVVbJ1ZE56m4/fcadc27e8f828029debfdaec18b6b14f/Visiting-Fan-Guide.pdf And this was on the UI: “The good thing is that your match ticket entitles you to free bus or train travel on matchdays to and from the game, from within the Brighton, Hove and Sussex region” https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/63358/the-amex-stadium--a-visitors-guide
  19. …there, finished your sentence for you
  20. Yep, most accept we're down, that was almost accepted before the season started, but it's how we go down. It will probably be Spring before the board buckle to fan pressure which will rapidly build now and bring someone else in (hopefully with a much different game plan) but if we eventually go down fighting then that sets us up for another pop next year in the Championship (which I think many wouldn't be wholly against). Home game for 'Farmer Saint' believe he's lives near Brighton, will be interesting to hear his views of the match and from those around him - think he's said he does go to Falmer with mates so guess he'll be in a home stand.
  21. It’s about time the club ditched their ‘Fabrice29’ log-in, it’s doing more harm than good for club/fan relations.
  22. Yeah, decent post. Another poster said "I remember going to the Dell in 1970...I remember that you could walk all the way around the inside the ground with no segregation anywhere" - well, I started going the following season and you certainly couldn't move from any of the stands to another and that never changed until the day it was pulled down and I can't see how it would ever have been possible before. One for the real old-timers to confirm.
  23. You’re probably right Trousers but I’d struggle with a microphone stuffed in my face, and if put on the spot I’d be more likely to nut ‘em! 🥴
  24. As much as I’m not liking the possession-dominated/reluctance-to-attack RM ideology I’m don’t exactly share some fans deep dislike of the fella. I can’t lose sight of the shit in his early life and that he’s done a lot of good charitable stuff. And I’ve a newfound respect for him and the Pinder if they can strip off on a British beach in November and still smile!
