There's rumours on one of the Swansea fan forums that we're looking to do a deal for Vipotnik.

We were the best team in the Championship from January onwards. He played his part in this with the rotation partnership with Larin Including goals against Arsenal and Fulham in the cup. He'll be hard to replace..we might well regret not getting him back

It's crazy how we all see things differently. I always thought he looked decent, certainly had his limitations for sure but he made a big difference when he played and looked far better than Adam Armstrong .

Although they'll no doubt lose a few more players in the transfer window, they've kept they're two best assets in Nuno and Bowen. This is a club and squad of players that got 39 points in the Prem last season. Our two previous Prem campaigns we totalled 37! West Ham will run away with this league 100%

I believe we got 42m total plus 15% sell on clause....so off a 43m profit West Ham have made we'll get aprox 6.5m cut. Use some of this to try and keep THB ? A nice bonus/ pay increase.

Exactly ...season before 23/24 , 25pts....season after 23/24, 12 points....that's tedium in my book. I couldn't give a shite what style we play , I just like Saints winning games personally...makes my weekend a whole lot better.

The 23/24 season under Martin, Saints championship games produced more goals per games than any other club. Don't you remember 5-3 Huddersfield, 4-4 Norwich, 5-0 Swansea plus getting smashed by Sunderland and Leicester by 5ers! I'm no Martin fan , an utter disaster in the Prem , way too dogmatic and egotistical, but there is a lot of revisionism on here regarding him. Imo the Championship season was fun and I have great memories of that season. I think he'd be decent at a big club like Leicester down in L1.

The bottom line is promotion..and we should be aiming for autos. Last season our right side attack combination of Fellows and Matsuki produced 4 goals and 6 assists in league games....that's simply not good enough if you want to get in the top 2...fine if you're happy to be playoff contenders. Will Smallbone got 6 goals and 4 assists in the 23/24 season and isn't good enough for us. Adam Armstrong got 21 goals and 13 assist from the right in 23/24. There's no room for sentiment or because he seems a nice guy..this is where we go wrong. I want end product or your out.

Both Matsuki and Fellows are decent players imo. But I reckon if we want autos then we need someone better than both of them .

Harsh on Wood, I thought he did ok. I'd prefer Stephens but Woods has his strengths too.

An absolute must sign player if we dont go up ....a possible squad addition player if we do go up. He's been brilliant for us ...what a players he's turned out to be and shows how often an older striker who's had his up and downs but is mentally tough and has the inner strength that most young prospects lack....hopefully a lesson learnt for Sports Republic and this is all down the Spors who we really need to keep hold of too. The reaction on here when he signed was frankly embarrassing..obviously not everyone and I can understand a cautious response due to SR track record. But some people really did soil their pants and made themselves look a little daft tbh.

Don't agree with this. When both the Bristol City goals went in the Northam and the Itchen North where I sit , quickly got a loud OWTS going .

It says on the club website that you can Transfer tickets . It doesn't state that it has to be to other season ticket holders , it just say you must not sell them.

Love to agree with you but I've seen too many occasions where he's missed straightforward chances to score or at least get it on target.

Onuachu was in and out of that terrible team. I don't recall many players being consistently decent for us that season apart from Ramsdale. He still managed to score more goals in that season than Armstrong ever scored for us in the Prem. Yet how many goals did Arma score in the Championship? I reckon Onuachu would have got plenty for us at this level.

We got 51 points with Ralph in charge in the 19/20 season compared to Puels 49 for the 8th spot. Playing the high press game was much more entertaining to watch and we had the pleasure of seeing Danny Ings score 22 Premier goals. Puel was dull and his football was often dull too but I agree he also did well with a limited squad. With the benefit of hindsight, I preferred Ralph . It was a tumultuous love affair with lots of ups and downs and a disastrous ending but so much more exciting than safe old Claude .

As embarrassing as that was, we ended up finishing 11th that season. Our most successful season with Ralph in charge. I think we won 7 out of our last 9 and at times ayed some pretty sensational football. We somehow did this with Stephens and Bednarek and McCarthy in goal .
