In the car park after the Watford game.

James Beattie?
-
Can anybody remember any terrace songs from the Dell in the 70's that could be adapted?
-
Beattie clearly left because the club was dissappearing up its own backside, which was later proven to be the case. So far as playing for Pompey, I don't think he's got the qualities to follow in the footsteps of Channon and Stokes! I'd take him back. Yes, he may have had a bad time lately, but he knows what he's doing, would come relatively cheap, and would more than likely do a good job. End of the season contract.

"Couldn't drop me at the Bus Stop could you Alan?"

Actually......neither is "Asamoah"!

Barry Horne..........v Bolton! No Contest!
-
Unless of course he's ringfenced his fees, and the Clubs wages. Don't be at all surprised if he winds the club up on Friday, or the next two weeks. He has warned of this, especially in light af all the bullsh!tting tyre kickers clogging up the process.
-
One of them represents, another, who represents another, who in turn represents another, and if you keep going, somebody may have some money. The whole thing smacks of tyre-kicking bullsh!t! Today, tommorow, it will definately happen..... yawn......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

If MLT wasn't linked to Pinnacle what would you think now?

Which halfwit in particular, as there seems to be a few of them? -

Sorry Chaps, but MLT is not infallible, even though you might like to think he is. Basically he's been told to come on Lynam's side to make the bid look credible, in return for being "crowned" Chairman! MLT was a great player in his time, but his time is over, and he's nothing more than a pundit these days, unless he has been studying to get his degree in some kind of Buisness Management that I'm not aware of, I don't want the guy anywhere near the financial decision making at the club. Where he might have been helpful to the club would have been in the coaching dept, but no, he thinks he's entitled to be chairman because everyone calls him "Le God". Its a load of old tosh, and MLT....welcome back to the real world! -
Time to Hear From the Organ Grinder...?
captain sensible replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
My two bobs worth....It really is time that Pinnacle just put the money on the table...providing they've got it of course....and MLT as Chairman.....might as well give Rupert the No 9 shirt whilst their at it. -
Wasn't Brian O'Neill the Saints Red Card King? Suspended for a record of 9 games in the seventies? Equalled only by Cantona's Kung Fu episode?
-
Would you say that Lawrie Mac's effort's prior to '76 were actually that much better, considering the international's and resources available to him?
-
I think you may have the qualities, experience, and persona for the position of Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Force. Are you available for interview, and what are your salary requirements?
-
That you never rated Poortvliet is no secret, however, the basis on which you passed judgement on him initially, (his CV), would have been no different to Roy Keane or Jurgen Klinsmann, Personally, I thought he played exciting attacking formations, that could have achieved so much more with a couple of strikers that could convert the hatful of chances that were presented. I don't believe the guy was out of his depth, he was a World Cup Finalist in '78, and if that's not pedigree, I don't know what it. The guy's that could have done it for him (Saga & Rasiak) were out on loan (for obvious reasons). He was in my opinion dealt a crap hand and did the best he could with what he had. Wotte fared no better, and Pearson only just kept us up. No matter which way you want to dress it up, it comes down to the 11 men on the pitch, and if they can't cut it.......silk purse.....sau's ear!
