  1. Can you name me one player either of those teams have that the top 6 would be interested in signing other than Begovic who will leave this summer and N'Zonzi who is kicking up a fuss so he can get a move to Seville? The reason Sunderland don't get plundered is because their team is full of **** players
  2. I suspect that if this is true it's old news. We were clearly interested at one point but have moved on. Can't see why the Echo would have been briefed saying we weren't interested if it wasn't true

I and you probably haven't heard of half of them. We have a scouting system in place that watches game after game in numerous leagues across the globe. If you seriously think there aren't other very good defenders out there then you're slightly deluded. Had you heard of Mane before we signed him? Loads of good players out there playing in lesser leagues who would jump at the chance to join us and play in the PL

No it wouldn't. Jesus the over-reaction on here is unreal sometimes. He's a bloody good player and I hope we can get him, but if not there are other very good defenders out there who would love to sign for us
  5. I always find this bizarre. You can't seriously compare the scenario of someone on a 30 odd grand salary being offered a job with a pay rise and someone on 3 million a year in the same position. There comes a point surely where money stops being a decision making factor and I'd say the vast majority of PL footballers fall into that category
  6. And by moving there he virtually guarantees he will NEVER play for one of the really big clubs who can compete in the latter stages of the champions league, as opposed to maybe once every 5 years losing to FC Basel or similar in the group stages. It is infinitely harder to get a move to one of the very biggest clubs playing for Liverpool or Spurs than it would be playing for us. It shows he doesn't actually posess the confidence in his ability to play at the very top. And to be honest, that's probably a well placed lack of confidence. The top 4 weren't in for him for a reason
  7. I'm amazed people think it's a low amount in the circumstances. He's not that good to justify £20 million when he goes for nothing in 12 months
  8. A shafting?! 12.5 million for a right back who can't cross a ball and only has 1 year left on his contract and won't sign a new one? Decent business
  9. It appears that Clyne has messed the club about a bit behind the scenes but apart from that I don't see what he's done wrong. I want players to start respecting contracts which is why the behaviour of Lovren and the Rat last summer was so poor. You can't criticise players for not respecting contracts and then have a go at them for not signing long term new ones. Clyne doesn't have to sign a new contract and if he doesn't think his future is here he's right to not sign one and give himself a bit more control over where he plays in the future. I haven't seen him once gobbing off to the press in the way Morgan has done on numerous occasions. Love Morgan as a player but he comes across as a complete **** in all honesty, almost as though he's the one that's doing us a favour by playing here, rather than respecting the fact this club has developed him into one of the best midfielders in the PL
  10. Try getting a decent amount of money down and then get back to us. Bookies don't expect/care about making serious money on these markets. It's a service offered to attract customers

Surely Spurs will have to pay more than us considering the payments Atletico need to make to us to cancel the original agreement?
  12. I think he'd be a great signing and would be a great partner for Wanyama in midfield. Reed and Ward-Prowse could learn a lot from him but it doesn't feel like our sort of signing. 29, big wages. I can't really see it

And without our top scorer for the whole season. Take Kane out of that Spurs team and do you think they'd have finished within 4 points of us? No chance

Who is suggesting they aren't much bigger clubs than us? Of course they are. Currently i do think we have a better all round team man for man than Spurs though

I think we were the unluckiest team in the league last year. We should have finished above both Spurs and Liverpool and the goal difference tells it’s own story IMO. Factor in spending the season without Rodriguez and losing Forster as well for the run-in and I do think last season we had a better all round team than Spurs at least. As has been said, they were a one man team with Kane digging them out of a hole time and time again. Go through the two teams man for man and see how many of their starting 11 would be in your combined team. I’d be surprised if it’s more than 3 or 4. Kane, Eriksen and Lloris. Who else?
  16. Which everything over the last 12 months would suggest to be honest. Last summer he was talking about wanting European football, then in December when we were in and around the top 4 his rhetoric changed and became about playing for a "big club" rather than wanting champions league football and now that we've fallen away from the top 4 again he's gone back to talking about needing to play in the champions league. He's full of **** and just wants out
  17. If nobody else pays the money and Spurs do then it wouldn't surprise me at all if it does happen. My own opinion from the outside looking in is that Morgan is completely full of ****. But let's see what happens
  18. Utter nonsense

    Danny Ings

None and I've regularly bemoaned that fact. As i said, his goals are very valuable for a midfielder and he can certainly strike a ball cleanly from distance. That's all he can do IMO, but it's a pretty great attribute to have
  20. Sturridge, Origi and rumoured to be in for a big name striker as well (Benteke). Ings could well end up being 4th choice there

    Djuricic

    How old are you?
  22. He'd be a disaster there. A man who has no respect for history running Liverpool...
  23. You can see him starting to already. I think United will get a bigger name and Arsenal will walk away. Spurs will come in bidding 15 million which we will reject and he'll kick off again. I don't even think it's about money with him now, he's just got it into his head that he's bigger than Southampton.
  24. Reading things like this make you realise just how out of touch some of our supporters are
  25. I think Morgan's criteria was bull**** to be honest. If Spurs or Liverpool are the best he could do and they stump up the cash I think he'd still go
