I hope it's the worst reception we've evr given a former player, and quite frankly I hope big Vic absolutely nails him at some point. Despite the **** Weston comes out with, he deserves nothing but complete disrespect. The symbol of modern day football. Lying, money grabbing ****
-
I agree. Whilst it's obviously not certain he would have scored he would have had a chance to shoot at goal without a keeper and maybe one or two defenders in the way. Surely that is an obvious goal scoring opportunity?
-
And if that were the case, we have Gallagher fit again soon anyway. Does that count as the 'body' we need? The truth is it's bloody hard to find quality strikers available in January for the right price who we could afford and that clubs would let go

Chelsea struggled against Everton last night, who defended brilliantly and made it difficult for them. They got a last minute winner because Willian decided to have a go from outside the box, it took a deflection and it's won them the game. Undoubtedly they got slightly lucky with the deflection, but we never gave ourselves a chance to get lucky because our midfielders aren't prepared to shoot from distance when in decent positions. Ward-Prowse is the worst offender, followed by Davis. He clearly has the ability to strike a ball (he's on free kicks for example) but isn't prepared to shoot on sight. When pelle is in poor form like he is at the moment we need midfielders to take some of the burden off of him Very frustrating

Think that's crap. Last season under MP we had similar problems. Not enough players taking the responsibility to shoot, and would rather play the safe and easy sideways pass. Lallana's shooting was pretty awful in general
-
You shoot. When on the edge of the box, you shoot and work the keeper. And you do it again. And again. And again
-
Very much this. It's pathetic the way they all shirk responsibility
-
If you don't shoot you don't score
-
If only. If nothing else you just want the rat to have the fear that someone will
-
They haven't exactly been grinding teams down though, they've just had a special player in Eriksen (and Kane) who can smash one in from 25 yards on a regular basis
-
The only tactic they've used all season where they've looked a threat. They should just play him up top from the start and launch it. They'd win more games
-
Spurs and Liverpool spend 90% of games looking very ordinary and rely on one or two special players to bail them out. West Ham are an all round good team I think
-
They're a very good side. This is our hardest home game left IMO
-
He's still young and has a lot of potential. Technically he's good and I think he's intelligent enough to overcome his lack of pace and lack of physicality. What he can't overcome though is his lack of goals. If you're going to play in that position in this league you have to get 10+ Goals and the same in assists and his lack of goals is something he has got to sort out. His all round game is good and he has the ability to grow into a great player in that position but right now he isn't quite there. But that's completely understandable at such a young age (which is easily forgotten on here). I'm assuming Djuricic will play in that position and I'd also like to see Tadic get more of a chance there too when we're struggling to break teams down

Perhaps Jay Rodrigeuz for Harry Kane might have been a good swop.

Who? I've never heard him described as "one of us", only as a player to have come through the academy -

I must have missed us singing "he's one of our own" about JWP -
It's interesting to note that a lot of the talk from Schneiderlin over the last 18 months has been about 'champions league football', yet recently it has changed to wanting to play for a 'big club one day', probably because he knows the champions league get out excuse may not be there in 6 months time. We could win the league, champions league and FA Cup and they'd still want to leave for the money. I'd have more respect for them if they came out and said that, rather than continuously coming out with this European football talk nonsense that everyone knows is a smokescreen. I'd love to be proven wrong this summer but it's all about money for 99.99% of them and they should all be more honest about it
-
yeah fair enough. My mistake. I've never had much of an issue with Shaw or Chambers really. They both kept their mouth shut and got on with it, unlike 2 others in particular He probably would, but he was a lower league player at the time being offered a chance to join Arsenal. It's slightly more understandable than Chambers who was playing for a side who had just finished 8th in the Premier League.
-
This. Although i think Chambers and Shaw should have given us one more season
-
Incorrect. Chamberlain did the same this year after the cup game that we won
-
Most supporters don't see things in black and white and they can understand players leaving us for Arsenal when we were in the lower leagues and Walcott in particular ensured we got a good fee for him when he could, from memory, have done the dirty on us and gone for a minimal fee as he was only 16. CC was given the chance of playing regular premier league football in a top half side and left after 22 appearances. I think we deserved more from him
-
In the last 15 minutes after Bolton had a man sent off. If Gudjohnson had put that easy header away and made it 2 nil Liverpool couldn't have complained at losing
-
Because he's a complete ****. His badge kissing nonsense is just as vomit inducing as Lallana's when you consider his transfer request to try and force a move to Chelsea, not to mention his numerous links to various gangsters in Liverpool, one of whom he even defended in court He's a ******
