  1. Think the problem wasn't Bragg. It was the formation, nearly 4-2-4 at times, without our usual "number 10" in front of the middle 2. Looked much better when we moved Leo back to the left and put Azaz on. Don't understand why we didn't play Dobbin at number 10. Tonda did this a few times last season too, putting Azaz wide instead of at number 10. Didn't seem to work well to me , but tbf I suppose Tonda knows a bit more about tactics than I do! 😉
  2. Presumably the club will say they're closing the Kingsland because there will only be a small crowd. I'd say closing the Kingsland is why there will be a small crowd. Chicken and egg. They just don't it, do they? For season ticket holders, part of the pleasure of going to games is sitting with people around you that you know and talk to. And the Kingsland must surely have more ST holders than any other stand. Not sure I'll bother

    Tom Fellows

He kept on cutting in from the wing too early last season IMO and trying to use his left foot to cross or shoot , instead of getting to the by line and crossing with his right.
  4. Don't like the sound of "verbal agreement but ..." if we have a verbal agreement then surely their internal discussions should have already happened. Wonder if he doesn't want to come ? Or manager wants him as emergency cover, given he's had a good pre-season?
  5. We found money for Dobbin. Hard to believe that fee was absolutely everything we could afford with or without the Charles fee. I'm not expecting £30mill on a striker As I said *some* of the money.
  6. Sorry to see Shea go but we have plenty of midfielders so no need to replace as such. Use (some of) the money to buy a striker now please. Another Larin type but maybe a bit younger and we'd have a bloody good side.
  7. Think the issue is more ..... 20 match ?!
  8. I'm way too old to wear replica shirts...... would clash with my rattle and bobble hat 😉... so don't really care about what the shirt looks like. But surely it's a mistake not to stick to a predominantly yellow away kit? Some of the best away support we've had has been whilst shouting "yellows, yellows... " from the Cardiff cup final onwards.
  9. Not sure I'd like to see him playing against us in the championship. You just know he'd play a blinder.
  10. There's bans and bans. He might be banned for a number of matches or a number of weeks/months. And very importantly, he might be banned from all football activities making it impossible to be manager - or it might just be a touchline ban meaning he could still manage and watch/coach from the stands.
  11. It's like a friend of mine used to say about giving up smoking. "It's easy. I've done it lots of times" 😉
  12. The uncertainty over Tonda's possible punishment by the FA won't help sales. The sooner that's clear the better.
  13. Do you think Hearts will pay more than us?
  14. So we've really cocked up the Stewart extension. Not impressive.
  15. I hear that the club is preparing a branded red and white sackcloth and ashes onesie for supporters to wear all next season's games. 😉
  16. Clifford Chance are the top 'magic circle' firm of solicitors. And probably the most expensive!
  17. Actually West ham's stadium will cost tawxpayers MORE next season. As I understand it, the crazy deal Boris Johnson gave them means they pay a proportion of their income. Less income next season means about £2.5 million less rent and therefore more stadium upkeep paid for by the public.
  18. Regardless of whether we should sack eckert, it seems to me that the club don't want to. They could easily have done so by now, citing misconduct, damage to the club's public image etc. Feels like they're waiting to see if he suspended by the FA and if not .....
  19. Yes, the sensible way to expel us would have been to change the result of the first leg to a 3-nil win. But they didn't. They just expelled us. Hull's argument is that expelling us doesn’t mean Boro should be back in. They say if we were 'expelled' from the playoffs, Wrexham should have been brought in at 6th place instead of us and played Millwall whilst Hull played Boro in the semi finals as 4th and 5th Complete chaos!
  20. So unless the FA persuades FIFA otherwise which seems unlikely, Eckert can just toddle off back home with a reputation as a winner and get himself a well paid job in the bundesleague Not much of a sanction is it.
  21. If the FA ban Eckert, does that apply just to England, or to Europe, or worldwide football? Could he get a job straight away in Germany for example?
  22. Feel similarly. And with my back, can hardly manage to walk away anyway nowadays! 😉
  23. The trouble is we won't be able to tell the honest leaks from the wind ups
  24. Coffee and biscuits break would be more pleasant surely? 😉
  25. I fear we won't hear for a long time yet . I'd guess decision late afternoon told to clubs then a cagey period with possible (correct and false!) leaks before we hear either very late today, or tomorrow. Who cares about fans? 🤬
