You always have the right to appeal... this isn't the football league! :-) Sounds like you'd probably win too, if you can prove you were pulled over because of the accident. Would argue from the safety angle (the need to inspect vehicles to check it is safe to continue) and of course the fact you are legally obliged to stop and exchange details in the event of an RTA. In any case I'd wait to see if you actually get a ticket (from the council) first. You never know, they might exercise discretion!

Will we also get to find out what electricity supplier provides the power for the floodlights? What brand of fertiliser do we use on the turf? What washing powder does the team kit get washed with?

The sale of the car is not something the police can help with as it's a civil matter. It's up to him to take it to court if he wants his money back. If it did go to (small claims) court, it sounds like you would win hands down, so it's unlikely. Would definitely notify the DVLA as others have said. The threats on the other hand are a police matter though if you want to report him for something... if he's just out of prison, chances are he's on parole...

That's a great video! Just watch the 4 players in the Peterborough wall standing around in confusion as Guly spins away.

Do you have a contract with the league?

I think he was taken off as once on a booking he was not able to do his job as effectively. I.e. he can't be as tenacious in case he risked a booking. Harding was then brought on to do the same job.

Who the hell are they talking to?

Southamptonshire (aka the County of Southampton) officially until 1959. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southampton#Government One of the citations: http://www.visionofbritain.org.uk/descriptions/entry_page.jsp;jsessionid=831E0EE166940B068F901D2E5F5D2B33?text_id=929180&word=NULL

Wilson was at Man United till he was 17 and Begovic joined you at 16.

Defoe is the most suspicious one to me... because of the other club. Tottenham sell Defoe to Portsmouth in Jan 2008 for £6m... then buy him back in Jan 2009 for £15-16m. If that was a publicly listed company selling and re-buying an asset (e.g. another company) then very serious questions would be asked.

If I had the time (and I might), I'd go through the CVA which lays bear in glorious detail all of their income and outgoings over a long enough period so as to be representative. Few adjustments needed such as removing some obvious one-off items and scaling down matchday income tickets in line with falling attendances, but should provide decent insight ... Now if only they filed accounts...

Fair point, though there must be some competition in the market otherwise Sky wouldn't be paying anything like what they are.
-
That is not so much thanks to Sky, as thanks to the constitution (?) of the EPL - i.e. they act as one entity for the purposes of selling broadcasting rights to matches. Wouldn't matter if it was Sky or anybody else buying those rights.
-
Surely effectively sets precedent for home subscribers also? Imagine EPL will start to negotiate its rights in EU as one block, perhaps with TV companies bidding as consortiums, and the TV companies will then move to somehow region-locking the decoder cards etc...

By their own admission that staggering attendance for a local derby was swelled by the BHA following: http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Lampitt-Hails-Blues-Fans-2605.aspx 14,152 fans. Massive club.

http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/law/article5676839.ece And this is enlightening The FSA also attacks the record of Bankas Snoras’ largest shareholder and chairman of its supervisory board, Vladimir Antonov, whom it accuses of withholding information. “These failures are not an isolated instance but are examples of an ongoing pattern of behaviour by institutions controlled by Mr Antonov,” the FSA said. Welcome to Fratton!

From the report on 17 June Creditors' meeting "Subject to the approval of the CVA, Portpin Limited has undertaken to pay all unescured creditors with claims of up to £2,500 in full and to pay any amounts owed to Charitable Organisations in full." Somewhat removed from a mere "verbal promise"...
