In an early life I taught Contractual Law to Undergrads and Company Managers and Directors.My take on the Osvaldo case is as follows. I'm quite certain that the Clubs' Legal Eagles have examined the Contract of Employment for one Dani Osvaldo. When he signed (with his agent and Solicitors advice) SFC followed all procedures to ensure the Contract is Legally Binding. One clause which doesn't get much air-time these days is that of 'Frustration of Contract' ie The EMPLOYEE does NOT fullfil his/her obligations and therefore is in breach of the Contractual agreement.SFC can now pursue a Legal Action against said player through dismissal AND submit a claim for Compensation and Costs against Osvaldo and his Agent.
