  1. In a past life I was a Teacher.(Higher Education) and my mid-term report on one Daniel Fox would read thus:- "Tries hard but hasn't quite grasped the subject". All around me were critical of him yesterday and squirmed whenever Dyer got the ball as we all knew he would stuff Fox.I will never boo a Saint but I am not convinced that Fox is good enough at this level. D-.
  2. I think its a bargain.Where else in our economy can you get double for the same price (£3) as last season?
  3. From where we sit in Block9 of the Itchen we all thought it was a dive as he started to fall just before Artur slid down to take the ball. Also, we were in a brilliant position to see Rickies free kick leave his boot and sail in just after Dani hit his goal from just outside the box.Our only reservations were against the lino on our side.Sixty yards away and makes error after error on throws.
  4. I think we are pretty well 'tuned in' Glen. I thought we should all give 'Hollowsay' a little 'Premier League? You're having a laugh' when he comes down on saturday.Like you i'm pretty sure we'll do the business. COYS
  5. Ain't it nice to see us sitting above Manure in the Table?
  6. Just read the 'Blog' Glen. We didn't make the match on Sunday for the very same reason you can't make the 1330 againt Swansea.Ours is a 400 miles round trip so even though the Grandson's match finished at 1315 we still couldn't make it.Love the blog and it's much appreciated from up here in the wilds!
  7. From the 'Norwich Buildup' - "Osvaldis is our 'best goalscorer". Really? You could have fooled me.We seem totally disjointed. MP had better take a very long look at our display today or he could soon be 'on the move'.
  8. My thoughts exactly.Easy access from rail,Airport and Motorway.
  9. What's with 'Our best goalscorer'? He hasn't scored yet!!!!And last week against Sunderland he didn't appear to know where the goal was. Until he's proven himself then I'll still go with SRL as our 'best goalscorer'.
  10. The Ref was a joke. I think I'll give up this 'Masonic' stuff after yesterday! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/images/icons/icon7.png
  11. Was at my Daughters with Mrs.H at the weekend and met up with my Brother-in-Law for a pint on Sat night. He's an ardent Spud and said "I see you're after Huddleston" News to me!!! Anyone else heard anything about him?
  12. If you look at the 'economics' of bringing in 'Youth' then it all makes sense. Very good youngsters don't demand such high wages as very good Seniors (above 26) I'm a little concerned with the number of foreign players being brought in but maybe they are 'economical' too. I'm sure the Don knows what he's doing.
  13. The last Home game falls on my birthday so I'm hoping that by then we are well-positioned and able to stuff Manure for a change. (It's long over due!) As far as the first game is concerned I'll be happy if the Baggies play with 11 men for a change. The two games last season contained some appaling Ref decisions.
  14. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Initially Those W..nkers At } ****S Talk Sport I never listen.
  15. I believed that Tommy Lawton was the finest header of a ball until I saw Ron. The very best! RIP Ron.
  16. Is it the angle of the camera which seems to show that the 'left side' (looking at the photo) is somewhat narrower than that closer to us? The distance from the 18 yard box to the touch line certainly looks shorter on the far side!
  17. £650+ for a season ticket is getting silly Divide the cost by 19 and then you'll have an approximation of the price per home game.eg £650/19 = ~ £34.22 per game.(Excluding travel, snacks, drinks etc)
  18. Until he is 18 the Parents/Guardians have durisdiction/responsibilty of a 'minor' in Law. A verbal agreement is binding in honour only. When Luke actually signs the Contract then he has the responsibility,as do the Club (his employer) to act reasonably in all the circumstances.
  19. Thanks.I'd forgotten Chatterly
  20. I think this is Saints related but I'll leave it the Mods. Had a kick about with my grandsons after collecting them from school today. One of them said 'That fergusons been at Man U a long time but how many Managers have we had whilst he's been there?' I had a quick think and could only come up with sixteen but when I got home I Googled Saints FC Managers and found we have had 21 in that period. Chris Nicholls was in post when Fergie got appointed. Wrack your grey matter and see if you can come up with all 21 without referring to Google until you've reached all those you can remember.. A couple I'd completely forgotten but give it a go and you'll be surprised PS Ted Bates and Lawrie Mac had gone before Fergy went to Man U.
  21. There's a lad who sits in front of me who continually texts. When something exciting occurs on the pitch he looks up asks "What's happened Dad?" God knows how many goals he's missed this season?
  22. Our main problem yesterday was that we have no one who can shoot like Bale. When was the last time one of our players hit a screamer that actually ended up in the (oppositions) net?
  23. Keriiist!! Are you the same posters who predicted a 'hammering' by Man C, 'Pool, Chelski? We will beat Spuds on saturday.
