My feeling in respect of Adam is he is caught between two positions. I don't get the feeling he is naturally confident guy and shuns the limelight. I get the feeling he is being pushed around. It is almost like he is waiting for the club to do something so he can then use it as an excuse. I'd also couple this with the fact that he is clearly worried that this 'chance' might not be available again, say in a years time. I'd like him to stay. He is a quality footballer but just not handling this situation very well. Everyone entitled to a wobble.

Nail on head. He should have negotiated a buy-out figure or a CL bid clause, but he didn't because that would have cost him money on his deal. If we bottle this then Morgan, Lovren and a few others will know we are soft.

So if Adam wants to play CL he should work even hardwr to drag the team into the Top 4. As a fan it is a dream of mine to see Saints in the CL. Not going to realise that of we sell every player capable of playing in said competition.

Adam is an employee under contract. He should respect that. The board should be straight with the players and explain that position though and not hide from it. The lack if a clear plan has seemingly created a vacuum in which uncertainty and opportunistic acts from other clubs have thrived. Also some of the juvenile comments about Lallana are bang out of order. He has been (and I hope will continue to be) a great player for us.
