Players and managers discuss transfers with other clubs. Even club legend MLT entered discussions with other clubs as have some of our current players prior to this window. I would be very disappointed if he had done it without the consent of the club. Even if he has, it doesn't mean he will be offered the role or indeed accept it. Most fans on here are upset that he is flirting with them. He may be playing Spurs to get a better deal, he may be hanging out for assurances about his role and squad, really nobody knows. Would be good to know either way and quickly, although the longer it drags on the less likely he is to go to Spurs IMHO.
