I think a lot of the vitriol is because we are genuinely gutted to lose him. He is a good player and we'd be a better team if he stayed. Things change quickly in football and if he doesn't want to fulfil his destiny as club legend that's fine. Let's show a bit of class ourselves and not act like dumped teenagers. Having met him I don't think he is up his own arse, I'd actually say he is quite shy and insular if anything, doesn't enjoy the limelight ala Scholes. We never got to see Billy Sharp in the Prem, and many wrote him off. For what it's worth I don't think he'd get many goals as a starter, but did however look like a poacher and would have been a decent option off the bench last year.

Not sure that individual threads aimed at particular posters are very constructive. We have lots of other discussion on other threads about meltdown / brave new dawn.
