Taïder Joins on 1 year Loan & Osvaldo to Inter - Official

Many a deal has been stickied before the official announcement, can't recall a deal that didn't stick after being stuck. -
I have been of the view that our sales and purchases have been more about accounting than a need to raise cash. The salient point in the blog is where we realise transfer income immediately but outgoings over the duration of the contract. One thing he overlooked is that when you sell a player mid contract you will take the full hit for the original transfer fee on the remained of the contract. In the cases of Lambert, Lallana, Shaw and Chambers this would have been nil. Whether the motives are to sell the club with a strong balance sheet or are to allow us to grow under FFP restrictions I will reserve my judgment.

One of the HNW's will buy a bit more equity or they'll find a loan. This is Pompey after all.

Fair play, nice idea and well done to them. Maybe in 2113 they'll have the names of the charities and small businesses that suffered losses woven into their kit to commemorate 100 years of getting one over on the taxman.

That it may be, but it is one perception. Multiple people can hold the same perception.

Fixed it for you.

Couple of requests to lock, I agree. His transfer is complete and history.

I stopped following the ****. No interest in former players.

Must be a confidence thing, he leathered penalties for us. That looked tame.

Meh, it's one year and nobody forces you to buy them.

They can't afford me.

We would back to square minus £8m

Amazed we haven't been linked with Alex McCarthy. Seems perfect #2 and fits Les' profile.

Amazing to think how England wasted Scholes' talent looking back. I rate JWP, he looks effortless and is a very bright boy.

Breaking out this discussion from the transfer thread. If we were lucky enough to have both. Who would you select as #1? Personally for me it Boruc, top performer last season a couple of gaffs aside. Big figure in the dressing room and bat **** bonkers. oh and one of the best records in the league last year. http://www.manchesterlalala.com/best-goalkeepers-premier-league-2013-14/#.U9v51WK9KSM

Boruc > Forster for me.

Fair point on the GK. I have always maintained that Boruc is good enough, last season #2 probably wasn't good enough cover and #3 was shocking. Without his injuries we wouldn't have noticed. Haven't seen enough of the games to comment on the new system, think RK likes Isgrove for that position but given his inexperience I would imagine he'll look to fill that as well. take the emotion out of it, we could be technically the same / stronger albeit without the experience of playing together. I'd expect Saturday to be the team that starts against Liverpool.

As I see it Bertrand Tadic = Lallana Pelle > Lambert Lovren, Chambers & Osvaldo to replace. At least 1x CB is required to replace Lovren, don't mind Yoshi as a 3rd choice. We don't really need to replace at RB to Chambers' level as he wasn't 1st choice + we have McCarthy and Cork who can play there. Hope we'll see more of Gaston this year so it's only really a striker and obligatory goalkeeper we need. In summary then we need a GK, CB and CF to be level with last year, anything else in addition is a bonus.
