Lambert's game has never relied on any sort of pace, in many ways you could compare him to Teddy Sherringham who I'd argue got better as his career went on. Sherringham was 33 during United's triple winning season and didn't fade for a good few years, until he went to Pompey. Lambert has worked steadily on his fitness although I think he struggles to play a full 90 when we apply the press. His role has changed this year. As others have noticed he is dropping deeper and playing a more traditional second striker role with Jrod, Lallana and Osvaldo feeding off. Some of his passing is sublime, haven't looked at his assists but must be up there. If it were Gaston making some of those moves the commentators would be creaming themselves at what a talent we had acquired. Ultimately he is a reliable, hard-working, well liked, skilful, capable, professional, penalty god player for us. Can't see us selling him to West Ham, or indeed him wanting to go.

I would say impossible, given they play tomorrow.

What are the Nutjob predictions going into 2014. Personally I am going for: - mid table mediocrity - increasing calls for the Trust to step aside for a Sugar Daddy - said Sugar Daddy will get the deluded phew to forfeit their 'investment' with the HNW making good theirs - A drunken moment from their esteemed chairman - surprise when Tesco fail to build them a new stadium, or even stand - Pressure on the CVA players to further reduce their claims - players and staff leaving Bury Would it be greedy to ask for another year of slide? Probably but I am sure they will oblige.

A lot of shots of KD making saves. Maybe he will come in for Gazzaniga.

Yes, think Leeds.

I am cooking a Braai awaiting updates. So goals and nuns appreciated.

Quicker than our goalkeeper's reactions.

Fairly sure that news was from Simon Peach, who got it from the club.

Whatever it is, and I don't think we'll guess it by speculating, WTF is the manager doing putting it out there?
-
Of course you would of.

I found this at the inlaws place. Quite appropriate as the wheels are coming off.

Would be interesting to see what the shots on target to goal ratio has been since Boruc hand injury. Rooted to the spot constantly and doesn't make saves, hardly inspires confidence.

Rather post something about the game fella. The WUMs will look after themselves as required.

Defensive shambles

Disagree. Jos and Fox are suspect and Gazzaniga an utter liability.

We have a great team, but a poor squad. Would take a draw.
-
Unfortunately the lack of grass for their preparation and Bristol Rovers raising themselves for the biggest game in their history has seen the Gasheads take the lead.

The same Monaco that is the Tax Avoidance capital of Europe?

Violent conduct is a three match ban for starters and more depending on severity. I can't imagine they would have charged him if it wasn't clear he had done something. Bugger.

Failure to have a credible #2 goalkeeper will cost us more that a few bed bugs. -

Anyone taken their kids out of term time since the new law?

We are very up front about it. They do **** all work in the last week and I am sure fossil hunting and mini-safaris are more educational than watching a Disney DVD. -

We are being fined £60 each for taking my 6 year old out for 6 days. Exceptional value compared to the additional flight costs.
