Maybe I am completely wrong here, but how has Birch's fee hit £2m? That is the figure Pompey Pravda and the knuckle daggers are throwing around, although at the creditors meeting I am sure Birch stated the PKF fees would be circa £700k. I presume the remainder circa £1.3m was actually the money that PKF paid in to keep the club afloat, (the 5k per week for players that wasn't deferred) and paying staff to run the club. So it's not like Chinny is haggling a discount on fees, he is asking them to take a haircut and give him credit terms! Breathtaking if so.

Birch gets paid first out of any liquidation. Football creditors are unsecured and the FCR only need be abided by if you want to retain Football League status. In a nutshell he'd flog the ground, pay himself and pay everyone the remaining £3.68 as a dividend in equal shares to the creditors.
