I think Austin would have. -
Ulrich Van Gobbel. The poster that is.

Congratulations to VVD and Steven Davis who have been appointed Team Captain and Club Captain respectively.

This is not a drill!

He'd have gone if someone had paid. Cardiff anyone? He should still have a warm reception.

Ok, the story didn't end well. The Saintsweb decision to not add him to the banner, Erik Black, bad assed Les Reed, that extra year and dodgy ankles - who knows! But.... Thank you Jose Fonte for giving me some of my greatest memories as a Saints fan. JPT, a couple of promotions, European campaigns and landing a few bloody noses on the big boys. The fairytale didn't end happily, but thank you and all the best.

We won tonight, rested a number of key players, and didn't pick up any suspensions or injuries. Give Puel a night off.

£9m for a 33 year old who we didn't want to offer a longer deal to. I appreciate that we have to replace, but that's fecking crazy.
-
That sounded dire, but it's 4th round now.

Have heard, via the friend of an agent that Fonte was desperate to go. Wages not horrendous either. Looking for 2.5 years @ £70k p/w. Not sure how much truth, but if so maybe it's all about that extra year.

Reminds me of league 1

It was a bit of a tongue in cheek post from me. Just wanted to highlight the fine line between stimulating debate and winding people up. We should have opinions, dull place without them. I would hope that everyone could respect that posters have that right to an opinion as long as it is given in good faith.

He's been saying we've been going backwards for past 4 years, he'll be right one day after we fail to retain the Champions League.

So you posted this thread to get a reaction? One man's provocation is another man's trolling....
-
What might be interesting is to see who is ignore the most?

Its the abusive part of the foul & abusive language that is the problem.
-
Can't recall seeing that, do elaborate.

Sacko has a problem with his neck? There are some sad and bored people out there! https://twitter.com/SouthanptomFC/status/820589825489244160

Thought we did ok to be honest. The defence looked pretty comfortable with Bertrand providing a decent threat. VVD was class all the way through and Romeu was immence, even with the conceded free kick. Forster looked shaky, dropped a couple of balls and was at fault for the goal. Midfield two of JWP and PEH don't drive forward as much as a Davis and even Clasie give you. Redmond is a bit wasteful, but at least runs at players. On another day we'd be walking away away with a solid 2-0 win and delighted about 3 points against a strong at home Burnley side. Puel has his faults, yesterday wasn't one of them.

Trying to, its a little bit sad that a group of people, who generally support the same objective, can't discuss matters in a civil way. You wouldn't talk like that to strangers face to face, so not sure why folk see it as accepatble on a message board. The moment you descend to abuse you lose the argument. Funny that this place is a breeze when we are winning. I repeat: abuse, personal spats and trolling will be dealt with.

Posters will have positive and negative opinions about subjects. That's fine, its when the irrational abuse and cyber-bullying kicks in that there is a problem. I saw the tweets last night Duncan, constantly amazes me that someone who has some decent opinions and can clearly articulate well when he can be bothered chooses to converse in that manner. PS Twitter has a block function!

He was beaten at his starting position.... Will reply to your PM later.
