It wasn't perfect, and yes the lack of penetration from wide areas was a missed opportunity, yet that was far from our worst performance today, we played against a Man City team who gave us their best. That there are such obvious areas for improvement from players who have already shown better says that we have another gear to go to. It's up to Koeman to make that happen.

We were contained by a side who showed us the greatest respect by being at their best to take us out. It was a shame to lose 3-0 but not the end of the world, the only dark side is how exposed we looked when we pushed on to get something after City went down to ten men, very similar to the Skates cup game, they just picked us off. We played worse then today against Swansea and QPR to name but two.
