  1. Only if she wore the police uniform.
  2. It's the hope that kills them, every time!
  3. I sometimes think back to that season he was on loan and I am now glad we didn't go up that year. We would never have known it, but the fallout of Michael Wilde's financial gamble on promotion ended up in us being reborn stronger then we could have ever imagined. I did like Saganowski at the time, such a pity he flattered to deceive while chasing a contract.
  4. Fair question regarding his motivation. Just echoing the previous thoughts regarding his choice of moving to QPR over a Newcastle team who were in European competition at the time. Coupled with his current legal issues that puts his current standing as a bit of a dilemma for me. I do not in any way doubt his ability, it is unfair to judge that on his time in that train-wreck of a QPR side and I do feel we need another striker. I would be wary of signing this particular player though.
  5. I've joined the Sky one, 'NeverSaintNever.' Threw the team together, am expecting nothing!
  6. Our progress has been built in recent years on a good team ethic and spirit. He has obvious ability but I doubt his motivation as a player. I'll pass.
  7. In fairness to him, he was no Ryan Smith.
  8. Yep, Davis is very Oakley-esque. You only notice the positives what he brings when it's not there... he was a great addition.
  9. A little harsh on Chaplow I feel. Only ordinary? Now yes, but in League 1 he was excellent, brought another dimension to our midfield play. As far as bang for our buck is concerned you will not find much better then him for 50k.
  10. In Knee Tethers?
  11. 11 posts about female armpit hair and no mention of Nena? Standards are slipping.
  12. Good luck to Drew. His career really stalled at Wolves/Norwich. Hope he has a platform to build from at Dean Court.

    Billy Sharp

It's a tough game sometimes. Sharp has done nothing wrong but is no longer the right fit. His success with us contributed to his own removal from first team use. I hope he finds a club where he can thrive.
  14. Have to agree. He really is that stupid to get a permanent tattoo on his face.
  15. Your tone is clear. You obviously think of me with quite some level of contempt. Describing me as 'scuttling' to the club shop and being extremely snide. However, don't we both want the same thing? There is common ground here and I am not going to go to the level of being rude towards you. Life is too short.

Such is the nature of sport sometimes you need a bit of luck! It's great when it works in your favour.
  17. Watching the 12/13 goals DVD, it's easy to forget the contribution he made through the season. Absolutely key to how we played earlier in the season but he does have weaknesses. His best goal last season sadly came when it made little difference, at Upton Park when we capitulated at the start of the second half.
  18. When in Rome..... As for the Picture, odds on Alpine being the bloke in the Sash with sunglasses hanging from his collar?

Very few. Shaw's physical maturity reminds me of a young Wayne Rooney. As you say some are not physically able to cope with football at that kind of age and it's rare when you find one that can. Shaw has benefited from his regular first team action, yet he has had nervous games and made mistakes (Stoke away, Staying on the back post and not reacting for Wigan's second) but he has been given chance to carry on and learn from it immediately rather then being dropped for a back up/player in competition. Had that happened and he had been dropped I do believe that could have hampered his development. Thankfully in a way this is entirely academic as a discussion as he is thriving... the replacement LB we needed was in our ranks and if our staff believe we have another (Targett) then I would trust them to bring him in when he is ready, not before.
  20. England shirt, get it right.

Does make you wonder whether Buttner would have done a good job for us, or would he have simply hindered Luke Shaw's progress?
  22. I do understand the perceived contradiction, I do. The club will be losing a sale from me this year though as I have only bought one, not the usual two. There is no need to buy a new one to back up the one I have worn (and due to their poor quality, damaged) through the season as I will not be wearing it, just filing it away. Being offensive towards me when we do both want the same thing is so utterly futile! Human nature is baffling at times.
  23. It's alright. For frozen produce, ready made items (crisps, sauces, tins etc) and meat, excellent. For fresh vegetables, no. Better off going to the local market.
  24. CB Fry, what is your opinion on the shirt? And why the lack of civility? Reading between the lines you don't like the deviation from stripes. Neither do I. Yet, you feel the need to attack me because I am a collector of Saints kits and you feel that makes my stance hypocritical? It really is a shame if that's the case because there is no point in being so hostile if we both want the same thing.
