Frankly, I think this was clear now.
Nigel Adkins was brought in to complete a project. He did so with flying colours.
Now we have someone working towards the next stage of the project.
Ruthless, unsentimental and utterly contrary to footballing convention..... And we just defeated the reigning champions.
2 weeks of rest while they have a European distraction.
A win there will be one step in the league for next season for me. I look forward to watching it at a random bar in the med.
The Citeh fans I was talking to before the game on the whole were very friendly, pleasant and easy to get on with.
Every club has it's share of ****s though. Just pity them.
Yep, that was the one that immediately sprung to mind.
The level of hypocrisy and lack of self awareness is astonishing! And a perfect demonstration of why this thread has thrived over the years!
Dear me, a deeply troubled individual. Some forces in nature are only destructive.... They will eventually burn out. I just hope the guy manages to find some kind of peace.
What did he say?
Personally, I will not forget what Nigel Adkins achieved for us, the manner of his sacking was terribly cruel..... but dwelling on that will not help at all. So, the king is dead, long live the king.
In other words, all this has really achieved today is the need for the Skate trust to scratch around for another quarter of a million quid they don't have!
Indeed. This is magic.
The poor Trust thought it was game over..... but at least there would be a club to support. Instead, the other bid are canned by the FL, only for them to deliver the hammer blow of 'put up within the next two and a half months or shut up.' The clock is ticking and they couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery.
