They surely have bigger fish to fry right now. Sad bunch of b*stards.
-
A club without honour, dignity, perspective or humility. Utterly beneath contempt and without humour.... but then their disregard for their own supply chain and local businesses isn't funny. It is very serious.
-
Runners on here. Is that Adriansfc?
-
6 hours in, just scratching the surface. How is everyone else finding it? Personally speaking, It's stunning!
-
Well, it is quite sick.
-
I drive a Ford Mondeo, it's superb. If you find one on the second hand market definitely give it a try.
-
Chatting to Barnsley fans on the train from Winchester. "Portsmouth should be thrown out the league for what they done, cheating scum." Straight from the mouth of a northerner. It's not just us, everyone now sees them for what they are.

"The Local" or "The Kid" by Kevin Bloody Wilson.

They really are going for it, highly promising.
-
Well. If I can raise £1000 for the Saints foundation I will wear a Skate shirt for the great south run. (£2k and I'll wear full Saints home kit.....) Any takers?
-
News on SSN: The League and Premier League are going to overhaul the FAPPT rules. Will it make any difference I wonder?
-
Yep, I'm hoping for similar for our away game v Boro on the penultimate weekend. I shall be in Malta that week and last time I was over I managed to see Saints v Brighton on an Italian channel.
-
I don't think so. Sky havn't take it and BBC already showed the away game. I wouldn't be surprised if a dodgy foreign feed was available though.

Fri: Wrap up work, Drive to Kings' Worthy. Go for a jog, then Pub. Sat: Nurse Hangover, Into Sarf-'am-tun, Game, Back to Winch, Pub + Curry. Sun: Back to Cov. Get stuck into Mass Effect 3.

I believe that Middlesbrough effectively did this in the late 80's. The rules may well be different now though. Indeed they did, in 1986. The club went into liquidation, Steve Gibson managed to get a consortium together at the last minute and they purchased the lot and carried on.

Good ol' Rupert. Lowe: "We are appointing a Rugby coach to improve our sports science capability..." Fans: "You're nuts......." Lowe: #now fuming# "No! MY idea is EXCELLENT, I have so much faith and belief in MY idea that I will make him FIRST TEAM COACH! How dare you question ME!!" There's got to be a good comedic character in there somewhere, something along the lines of Fawlty Towers but with more red wine and ducks shoots.

Doubt it, they are barely aware of life outside of Portsea let alone capable of sustaining a thread on it.
-
Surely that could be cause for the crisis......
-
There's a highly rated and emotionally stable Belgian we could try. Sounds like a film start.... oh, what's his name......
-
It would serve two purposes. 1) Stop the locals from revolting. (That's the act of revolting, not being revolting. ) 2) It becomes a council cash cow. Milk the local populace for their gate receipts. It would ultimately limit the money going into the football club but would ensure they have a firm foundation to build from. Personally I'm all for it. Especailly as it's on the proviso that they start afresh.

He lost sight of what was important. Therefore I will stick with my earlier, 'crackpot,' assessment. If you do not look after your foundations don't be surprised if the walls crumble.
-
Haha. That actually puts liquidation in another positive light for them. Struggle on constrained by the crooks or start afresh low down leasing the stadium from the council. In terms of their growth it could hamper their overall potential. Leasing a ground can take a very high amount out of an operational budget (ask Coventry.....) and will restrict the funds that could be spent on other areas, such as the first team. If they really have a desire to be operationally solvent in the future it may restrict them as a club to something the size of Preston North End or Barnsley. If not slightly lower.

I havn't posted a single word over there outside of that one thread (hostile, friendly, conversational or otherwise) gave my word to the site administrator that I wouldn't and as such I have absolutely no intention of doing so. Unlike you I actually mean what I say.
-
It's all well and good being a visionary, but without general acceptance and understanding you are just a crackpot!
-
It really is a disease that runs through them. If I remember the conversation correctly Steve (alcohol permitting......) he mailed through two pieces of card and insisted that there was a fiver between them? But naturally there must have been something amiss through the postal system, yet the envelope was untampered. Curious.
