Certainly, comparing them both in the cup game last january there was only one winner.

What Games Are You Missing This Season Then And Why!?!
Colinjb replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
All midweek home games due to work. -
I say this through gritted teeth. He would be an excellent signing.

This works in the favour of the Skates anyway. Maybe it was brought in to stop them bleating on about poor treatment.
-
I've had players with worse stats then that at premiership level.
-
He succesfully followed through though. Good man.

Oh god yes. Can't stand the stuff. Add Aniseed to the list too.

Dirty sod.

This is the problem with living on an island. The population is a closed market, why try harder!?

Blame right now doesn't matter, it's in the past, if any errors were made though the buck needed to stop with the manager... which it did. It was obvious Lambert was unfit at that point though, thankfully everything worked out well last season.

Actually, Maltese stewed rabbit is disgusting. Braised in red wine however, that's another story! Another pet hate I have: Custard. Disgusting stuff.

That's just it. It's an emotional impression I have, sadly I lack an eidetic memory. Yet my instinctive thoughts of Puncheon bring me back to dead end runs, poor shots and selfishness rather then team play.
-
What would you recommend? An ice cold bucket of water on a timed spring?
-
Maybe, emotion can cloud the memory. Not just his finishing but decision making was awful, i'm sure of it. Yet I still remember him having a rather good game against Blackpool, was good to see what he could actually do.

Keep this man away from a chainsaw, or business cards...... or both.

I cannot stand the absolute break in the striped pattern. That it is built into the shirt fabric means little to me, I just find it ugly. Just like I hated it in this design: If we are to have a sponsor, I would prefer it to not interupt the stripes, just be placed above them. Just like this older friends provident design. As such, I do like the new shirt design.
-
See, I think that is attrocious. The problem is, when there is a compromise in the shirt to accomodate a sponsor it will never look absolutely right. The question will be, which compromise do people find most acceptable? And as that is subjective there will never be a total consensus.
-
To start with maybe. I remember the sulky bugger at the start of last season as being the issue.
-
How has he been this half?
-
I believe so. It's labelled as just the 11/12 kit. The umbro kit deal apparently lasts until 2013 though. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/sponsorship/southampton-sign-umbro-deal-until-2013.html

If at first no one listens, keep on shouting.
-
Considering he hasn't even been given a squad number..... Unlikely.
-
I suppose I see it a different way. The sponsor can never be truly integrated into the kit design, it is a foreign entity. If we played in colours that were plain it wouldn't be too tricky, but on stripes it can only distrupt them. The Air Florida shirt worked better because of it, but on our classic stripes. No chance. The closest we got to integrating a design was on the 06-08 Flybe shirt, and that was a dog. The follow on shirt with the plain white plastic screen print was in my opinion a better shirt, but still ugly. This design, like the old Friends Provident shirts at least tries to bring minimal distruption to the stripes while also standing out. Sady though it is not the bolder 'foam' type print from those few years ago, it is the flat plastic type that does feel cheaper...... and that I feel is the main problem with it... even if it's the best of the bunch.
