  1. I need the same kind of idea for Mrs Colinjb's 27th. Just a relaxing restaurant that's not too pricey but equally not an utter dive. And yes, we will be in Southampton for it.
  2. Even Matt Le Tiss agreed terms with Spurs....
  3. Possible that he could be the rarest of things, a loyal manager? I actually respect him a lot for resisting the move.
  4. Ha, they won't be saying that for a while!
  5. Quite right. In terms of a) How much has the addition of Richard Chaplow influenced that? When he came in and started putting himself about and really challenging the opposition in midfield it came as quite a shock, showed us how much 'fight' we lacked in there. Schneiderlin in particular is now really following his lead. b) Our main weakness. Right now, although the obvious example of Chamberlain in injury time can be put down to youthful exuberance. In Adkins we trust on this one! Confidence/Generosity is a delicate tightrope to walk.
  6. I think you hit the nail on the head when you say: "Why did everyone think the "singing area" needed to be near the away fans." It just seems to be a tradition at Saints to have this in recent years. The location of the Archers road end to the right of the East Stand away section just carried over to St Mary's and now it has become ingrained with a lot of the fanbase. Logistically it would just be easier to move it lock stock to the Chapel as the away end can only be easily expanded into the Northam... it would cost a lot to reverse that and get the away end expandable into the Itchen stand. It would also allow for easier seperation of home/away fans for more 'sensitive' fixtures. Logically, makes sense to move it, emotionally..... many will resist.
  7. If he doesn't succeed and gets paid off..... yes.
  8. It doesn't help that it's on ITV now. The most awful dumbed down lowest common denominator b*llocks you could ever expect. A lot of people prefer to watch these games in a pub atmosphere too. So less viewers at home.
  9. It's all relative. A broke club on their scale will still pay him a couple of grand a week. Manage that properly and he will have better financial security then he has ever known since leaving the Skates as a player.
  10. A further clue that Avram and his coaching team's days are numbered?
  11. In the mean time they sold their 'star player' McQoid.... And they still cannot bring a replacement in. He now realises he cannot progress that side any further.
  12. A shame in it's way. Just didn't have the charisma for TV in the end. Would much rather David Croft had a chance to step up. Coulthard is very knowledgable but not exactly enthusiastic, him and Brundle could be quite a dour partnership.
  13. Paul Jewell would be a bit shocked by that i'm sure.
  14. In fairness a completely worthy winner.
  15. It's not as bad. It's all relative.
  16. His distribution is bloody awful. Had more slices on saturday then a slob enjoying takeaway pizza. Obviously not a bad keeper, but Kelvin is better.
  17. A very sudden thing to happen to a player who was match fit just a few days ago. All thoughts to his family.
  18. Calm down chap. Holepuncture summed it up best with his post.
  19. Sounds like Danny Hockton for me. The season he had for Margate back in 06/07 was unbelievable. But all he could do was finish. At a higher level (the mighty Bromley) he was found out.
  20. When he was on fire with Salisbury he had an 8 game spell with the Cherries. He found the net once but they decided against keeping him. His best chance to play in the league is for Crawley to come up.
  21. Neither. Sky Sports. The FA does very little. They don't even have direct control of the nPower football leagues. The have the Cup, the national team and then the Vase, JPT etc.
  22. It would be excellent. The Premier League would never agree though.
  23. Quite. If you are paying circa fifty quid for it though you would expect something quite good.
  24. Thats a shame. Almost went for that myself but if it's turned into a kids free for all then i'll stick to the King Alfred. Seems that there is a discrepancy between the hospitality restaurant/bar capacity and stand seating capacity - Very poor organisation.
