  1. I used to love the Cheese flavoured Nik Naks. Do they still make them?
  2. Thai Sweet Chilli Walkers Sensations. Love 'em.
  3. 4 and 8. Thankyou
  4. All ifs. I understand the point you are making and if I eat my words one day so be it. As for denying myself supporting a club, I coach an u15 team in Coventry. I have gained far more joy and happiness being involved with that over the last 5 years then I have had with Saints over the same period. I still get my football fix, even if it is elsewhere.
  5. I am inclined to agree, very well put.
  6. Yes I do, I believe I am talking with it right now. It is a shame you had to resort to profanity to try and get your point accross, it really is, but what else should I expect... I understand people have different opinions and perspectives to myself, and indeed, a forum such like this is the place to discuss them. I have had to ask myself many questions on the run up to this decision, the key one was why do I support this club? It used to be fun to go, go and see games with friends. Watch the occasional win, enjoy the atmosphere, and the hope, the hope and genuine belief that we could one day challenge for something. The atmosphere is now all but destroyed, my favourite seat on the northam/kingsland corner is gone, my mates no longer have season tickets feeling what is the point as the ground never sells out any more and i'm fed up driving a return trip of 4 or so hours and almost certainly driving back feeling miserable. I cannot afford to do that every two weeks if I get nothing back. It is the impression I get that the current reigm would prefer us to be like Walsall where a few years ago, barely surviving in the championship and being profitable then be like Coventry, who paid a heavy price for relegation but never lost the sense of perspective that they are a football club first and foremost, a club who tried to keep their better players, a club that always tried to push on, a club that has kept its sense of self respect and dignity.
  7. I shall not return to St Mary's, to the ground and club I love while Lowe is here. Southampton F.C. is no longer a football club, it is the work of an eccentric. A man who values profit over results, who values his own opinion over common sense and his own reputation over fact. I hate saying that, but the club I adore no longer exists. The playing staff has dissappeared, all ambition and hope has gone too, and all pride and love has disappeared. We are nothing now, a bank managers statistic, and rather then having a man willing to fight for us, to aim high, we have a puppet having his strings pulled for him. We lose player after player, and have nothing done. We ARE NOT as badly off as many clubs, yet Lowe lets us rot. heamorraging talent. Losing hope and respectability. When Lowe finally leaves, for good, without any route of return, be it through loss or administration, I will return, witnessing the pheonix rise from the ashes. But until then I cannot bare to watch. I cannot watch something I hold so dear degrade itself further. I am not that sadistic.
  8. With respect, what else do we have? We are no longer a football club, we are a bank's play thing. All with the acceptance of our 'leader' who treats the fanbase as a resource to be tapped rather then the lifeblood of the club. We don't even have the good times to look back on, at least Leeds had europe. European finals and the time they took it to the top 3 (as it was then) What do we have? Broken dreams and squandered opportunity. It has all been downhill for five whole years. And there is only one common denominator. Only one man who has dictated the stranger things we have done. At least Wilde and co ran us as a football club in the traditional sense, rather then an eccentrics plaything. Many clubs are worse off then us, yet here we are paying 24 quid a week to watch a youth team. I AM F*CKING SICK OF IT Rupert can bite my hariy arse. He is getting no more of my money to invest in his folly. I will not return until Southampton FC is a football club once again. As things stand now, we are a joke. I will not let it break my heart any more. I cannot afford to let it break my heart anymore. I shall investigate the non league scene in the midlands and find a club to follow there.
  9. Sacking Sturrock. From then on everything was sh*t. And has been now for 4 f*cking years. What happened to my club. I used to be proud. Now I'm f*cking embarrassed. Lowe had a sniff of the big time and got deluded by it. He believed his word was gospel and got stung for it, now he is back trying it again. His ecentricity is alienating thousands from something they once held dear. I hope that he gets off on that, because no-one else is.
  10. 3............... 2............... 1................. Hoof!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Lol at the Skates who think Spurs are not a bigger club then them. 5 seasons in the premiership and they think they are equal with a club of their history. Laughable.
  12. I watched the score came in today and when I saw Swansea had scored I felt nothing but acceptance. We shouldn't be in the position where we have to pay £24 at a home match in the 5th most watched football league in the world to watch a youth team. I personally feel like I am being treated like a resource with no recompense, like all fans are being treated as such. The club is dying and there are no signs that something is being done to revive things where it matters, on the pitch. The banks may be happier, but I am miserable, miserable that the club I used to love is a joke. Miserable that the club which made me so proud when it reached the cup final 5 years ago is now a glorified feeder club for other teams, teams in our own league, a league below where we had been for 26 years. The result against Swansea is something that means nothing to me, because the whole circumstances the club is now in has left me dissillusioned. I WANT to feel something when a goal is conceeded or scored. I WANT to scream with delight again when we score. I feel inclined to do neither now. This club, which used to give me so much joy now leaves me numb. I look at Leeds fans with envy. At least they have European Semi finals, League Cup wins and 3rd place premiership finishes to keep them warm in the bad times. We only had a false dawn of a cup final. I would far rather we had gone for broke then and paid the price, rather then paying it anyway and having nothing to show for it.
  13. The have Hakinninen on it this season, and they drive Trucks. Can't wait, couldn't care less that it is no longer a serious car show, it is superb entertainment!
  14. Rupert Lowe announced he has decided to abandon his dream of a profitable football club and has sold to someone who wants to run the club in a more conventional manner.
  15. You really need to lighten up. I agree my first post was a little on the direct side , and yes, based on what I have seen so far I do believe we will be relegated, and that we will sell yet more players. And why do I believe Rupes is money focused? Well, due to his entire demeanor and admissions that we need to cut back! - The actions so far taken seem to indicate that he is doing just that and isn't afraid to ruffle feathers to do so. As for fan opinion I wanted it on this specific subject. Not the two thousand vaguely to kinda relevant ones. As for attention seeking, that is something you are doing here by trying to pick a less then friendly arguement with me. Sadly, your lack of payment for full use of the forum deprives you of that, ensuring that conveniently you cannot follow it through. Good day to you sir.
  16. No, The questions I raised where done so in order to gauge fan opinion. I didn't come out here and say O.M.G. WE R SO DED, LOLZORZ. I was trying to start a debate. If you took it as scaremongering I appologise, and yes, your points about other clubs being up sh*te creak worse then us and still competing are very fair. But yet, here we are, fielding a youth team and offloading players at a continuing rate. I am worried for the club, yes, and I want to enter into discussion about the options avaialble and what those at the top are likely to do about it. The questions I put forward where to gauge opinion from other fans, and I note your opinion according: You think I am over reacting. Cheers now.
  17. 8 mill overdraft it says, I assumed that didn't take into account the mortgage on the stadium, the figure I quoted there was an approximate stated a while ago during the 'takeover' bulls*t.
  18. I got it together with my new 360 Elite on Monday. I am really enjoying it, already edited Saints in (and they look alright!) am really enjoying BAL mode and find it excellent. (I literally jumped up and went crazy when I scored two on my Debut for Sparta Rotterdam after coming off the bench with 15 minutes to go!) Tried the FIFA demo, it seems to be a more 'realistic' and feasable interpretation of football on the surface, but PES is so close behind its not really worth fretting about.
  19. Just to clarify my statement there, I expect us to fall further, especially if Rupes is focused on us losing the overdraft. Although using the team 'league(s)' may have been more pertinent.
  20. Personally I wouldn't be interested. I can surf the web on my mobile and if I want to know the kind of information these alerts would offer, I can access it essentially anywhere for a cost inclusive of my monthly phone bill. I'm sure other people will think differently though, and full credit on the idea in the first place, a nice thought to keep us all informed.
  21. As stated in the 'Stern on Loan' report on the Saints web main page we are 8 mill in the red, with a Stadium Mortgage of about 20 mill outstanding and we are still losing money every month. My questions are (and if you are online Rupes, please contribute), how much of the outgoings per month is interest on the 8 million? Is it likely that by selling a 'few' (not all) players in our team we can eliminate that 8 million? With those players gone will our loses per month cease? How far are we anticipated to fall before we 'bottom out' and start pushing back up the leagues? And finally, what total fallout is expected from this fall? (Fanbase lost etc)
  22. More wages off the book then. How much was he on? How much is this relieving us of per year?
  23. Fear is a horrific emotion, especially if you do not have the intelligence to cope with it or understand it. Many people have been warped by fear of what may happen if they react against those who cause it. If she was in the lowest 1% then I would believe she may have been a very easy target for someone predetory. Who is not to say he abused her? And kept quiet for fear of being the victim herself.
  24. It is a fair point. You have to wonder how badly someone has been conditioned in the first place to cause a baby, a helpless child, their OWN helpless child to that kind of sustained abuse. To do this, regardless of prior experience, mental state or any other external or internal factor, is an act of complete and utter evil. And for him to show no indication of remorse reinforces for me that he is an evil human being. It is one of the worst crimes I have ever heard of, it is beyond comprehension. He is surely beyond redemption. I am agnostic, but dearly hope hell exists so that he can go there and truly suffer for what he did.
