  1. that got me 😂😂😂 more than it should I applaud you! 👏🏻
  2. I imagine everyone is looking at each other unsure as to who does what 😂 It would be very fitting.
  3. The guy who was/is part of Middlesbrough was common knowledge beforehand. It’s all over socials. It’s not news, and most importantly won’t make any difference so it’s pointless having that discussion
  4. I agree. I feel so bitter, resentful, angry and disappointed.
  5. You can take the man out of Southampton…. Doesnt work I suppose, either way! 😂
  6. I want them all gone.
  7. I suggested Scott Parker a few weeks ago as a decent choice; when there were mentions about us tying Tonda down to a new contract (and if unsuccessful). Oh how the same people have changed their tune, massive 360 😂
  8. Totally agree. Sport Republic haven’t used much common sense in five years. Why bother starting now?
  9. I imagine the club are waiting for the FA to finish their investigation before announcing he is sacked. He is done either way.
  10. I actually don’t give a toss about the outcome. It’s happened, it’s done. Working with people who suffer with mental health who can’t cope with certain pressures in life - I hope Will Salt is being looked after. I also hope he puts in a formal grievance for the way this has been handled by the club and national media. Some would’ve “called it a day” as soon as they’re in the national press. I don’t think anyone involved has thought about that.
  11. Thomas Frank would be a dream. But it is NEVER EVER going to happen. We should be so lucky to get a semi-decent League One manager. I do not trust Sport Republic to make good choices.
  12. But SR won’t pay out. We’ve all said for years it needs to happen but it simply won’t.
  13. Almost certainly
  14. That report is pretty damning. He’s done.
  15. Will be interesting to see how much the players love him now. Wonder whether opinions would change if he was the difference between the likes of Harwood-Bellis staying, or Peretz signing? Etc
  16. One outlet reported Southampton players were at Staplewood today. 1) I wonder if that’s true and 2) If that was the case, imagine being a fly on the wall
  17. It’ll be interesting to know what the players think of him now. There was clearly admiration previously.
  18. This entirely. It’s not difficult to sack someone when you’ve got evidence if they’ve admitted wrongdoing.
  19. There are other Scienza’s out there, ones that stay on their feet. I think Jander will go back to Germany and we’ll probably get £10-15m for Charles. That’ll balance the books straight away. It’s not the exodus I’m bothered about, we can’t affect that now, it’s who we bring in. Who will want to sign if you have a lowly regarded manager or one that’s openly cheated?
  20. Could not disagree more. Knee-jerk reaction? Reactionary reaction, yes. But completely and utterly justified. If your business has been brought into disrepute you put distance between you and the problem, well this is a huge f****** problem.
  21. It’ll be nearly seven years into their ten year plan, whatever that was.
  22. Shea Charles will go, I’ve been saying it for a while. One year left, deal has been on the table forever. Once the dust settles it’ll be easier to tell which players will stick around and which won’t. Players like Harwood-Bellis, Scienza, Jander wouldn’t begrudge going because they’ve done very well. I think the likes of Azaz, Fellows etc will still be here as they’ve only just signed long term contracts and we aren’t like to recoup any money we spent on them. Right now it’s very much reactionary for players and fans alike. It’s important to get the manager right. Get the manager right and that might make players think “yeah I’ll have one last crack at it”. Also worth bearing in mind that these guys are human, much like our places of work some have young families, they have comfort, stability, that’s why a lot of people don’t change jobs. Aside from the money I think we’ve got some much smarter players that may consider things like that too.
  23. Why would they stick around? Theyve proven they can do it at this level. Go to a club that isn’t a basket case
  24. “I wonder if Dragan Solak will sell?” Who the fuck would buy us? Give us stability? Some proper footballing decisions?
  25. They need to pay out on a real manager now. They need to get fans onside and players onside, and also in the door. The most consistent, constant and costly mistake the club makes is this. Five years now. Remember this, when we hired Nathan Jones Villa hired Unai Emery - they just secured Champions League again and won the Europa League.
