Oh it’s a incredibly minor thing. But if they get this kind of basic thing wrong then I’m not overly surprised by everything else. I did write a list on this thread maybe in the last year of every SR have done both positive and negative since being at the club. It’s somewhere way higher up in this thread, but I’d be fascinated to see what can add to it now.

Don’t be silly. Why start with your best team when you could needlessly rotate it, play ultra sideways and defensive, concede a goal or two and then chase the game in less time later on!

I think Sport Republic have fucked up so much that it’ll take years to get fans back onside, they’re not trying to rush it on the cheap than do it rationally. I’m of the opinion they fucked up even to the point of the home kits. Two seasons we’ve basically played it white under them, we aren’t Spurs. Yes there are kit manufacturers but someone ultimately has to sign off. There’s just lots of weird decisions around the club.

We aren’t going up this season. If we did I think we’d end up getting battered like Wolves are this season, which ironically is a lower bar than we were last season. 😂

The fact that so many people have voted yes is a little alarming, yet they don’t comment or explain a reason why. It’s like those people that voted Brexit, or for the Tories or now Reform - I’ve never met one. (Maybe it shows I walk among better social circles). 😂

If we went up this season we aren’t in any way, shape or form ready for the Premier League. I wouldn’t trust SR to make the right deals based on last time round either.

Director of Football is just another way of saying Chief Football Meddler in charge of transfers, contracts and depending on where you are team sheet dictation.

I did used to have contacts within the club but that was a couple of years ago. I do still know one or two that are closing to the set up so hear the odd thing, but nothing spectacular.

I wouldn’t say you hear a lot of leaks from the club now, that’s one thing that has always been generally good. The flip side of that is there has to be some transparency when things aren’t going so well. Burying heads in the sand isn’t the way to go, but we’ve seen this already this season when they refused Spors to be interviewed by Alfie House, supposedly JS was happy to do it but was told no by someone above him.

Ipswich’s team didn’t change much over the Christmas. Didn’t they win all their games? Just saying

I’ve forgotten a few times this season that we’ve been playing. Equally I don’t feel that if I switch of the radio or turn off the TV that I’m particularly missing out. They’ve been incredibly predictable for years

When Rasmus goes things will get better. Sadly, he won’t.

100% I wasn’t convinced at first but I am even more so now. Will Still always said he preferred four at the back and yet never did, even when we signed the players. Now Tonda Eckhart is wedded to this same thing but with more sideways passing.

Agreed! One thing I do recall is when the game was crying out for pace and a change he waiting until the last ten minutes, by which point the game tempo had generally died off (if we were chasing the game).
