I don’t think it was weird, it’s how professional footballers react back. Some think they’re entitled, I’m sure all take it personally but it’s depends how they react, it goes one of two ways: some probably try to go one better and prove themselves, the others throw a sulk. Just brings it back to a human level.

We’re winning this. 2-1. Ipswich were well off it against Birmingham, they didn’t deserve a point from that game and could’ve easily been a few goals down had it not been for some horrific officiating. Saints 2-1 win. Manning with a second goal in as many games, and Cam Archer with a classic poachers goal near the end.

I did a post about a week ago. “Top six” clubs will want value for their money, the only ones that would be stupid to pay £50M for a player that has only scored two Premier League goals is Man United, and they’ve already spent £200M this summer despite laying of staff as they were “close to going bust”. 🤦🏻‍♂️😅 The others I’m sure we want better value for money. That leaves your likes of Everton, Newcastle, Forest, Villa etc. Some very unforgiving crowds, especially if things don’t work out. Unless someone bids stupid on the final day I think he stays now, and will be reintegrated into the team ready for Pompey at the latest next month.

I’ve interested how it works negotiating with a Russian club when there are legal sanctions about.

I must admit that home kit has grown on me, I think the only think I’m not so keen on is the lack of stripes down the back. I just resent paying £65.

I mean he downed tools the second half of the season, he was virtually non-existent. I’d have taken £40M, fine if the club want to hold out but his value is only going to lower after this summer, especially if he doesn’t live up to the hype or doesn’t sign a new contract.

Ipswich look knackered. They certainly go down easy. Referee has been crap, a foul every time the wind blows.

Birmingham need to be knocked off their arrogant perch. Sky talking about them like one of the true underdog stories. “When I was young, I had a dream, and £2B my father gave me”.

Paul Trollope comes across really, really well. Johannes Spors comes across in control of football business, I guess jury is out on that until the end of the window. Phil Parsons just seems very business-like, nothing wrong with that.

Who sanctioned a poor player a new contract? (Jack Stephens) How is Jack Stephens seen as a leader? Is Tyler Dibling sticking around? Are we going to have an increase in squad depth? What is the boards target? Autos? Generic promotion?
