  1. Agreed, for a club of our size, budgets etc we shouldn’t be struggling to sign players. But when you sack a manager every six months it’s not particularly attractive.
  2. Can’t wait for him to sign and be loaned to Goztepe and then sold for a £1M more in a years time. Benefits of the multi-club model.
  3. Mainly exits - Aribo and Edozie are on the way
  4. Surely as a journo that’s whe you start calling out who that muppet for SR was? Yes you might lose your access but you’ll have thousands of fans behind you and you’d just be proven right. Sport Republic would be done. More than they already are.
  5. Calling it now. Absolute, absolute bollocks! One of the biggest clown journos out there
  6. Adam Blackmore and Alfie House actually dig them out more than your ears maybe care to listen. I think they’re very balanced in their analysis, also quite direct.
  7. Not Joe Aribo’s fault the club offered him stupid money. He’s well within his right to sit around and not do much. Doesn’t seem like the most productive thing to do in a short footballing career. Footballers careers can nosedive in two years. Look at where people like Sterling or Walker were a few years back compared to now. It happens with all sorts of players. Berahino back in the day too.
  8. I thought the same. I heard it and I was like “fat lot of good that did us when other teams were 96% depleted”.
  9. So all season we were told it was injury related. One solo source recently said he’d be fine all season - two sides here, 1) it’s complete bollocks and he has been injured, and 2) it’s true. If it’s complete bollocks then it says it all about the one source that suggested it. If it’s two, then why would the club hide this? Is he frozen out because he didn’t want to be here? Is he frozen out because there are appearance fees/clauses if he was played more? Have the head coaches been told not to play him? Does he want out? Is he a trouble maker? Has he got an attitude problem? If it’s the last couple of example, why would you want a rotten apple near the squad? Also if you’re looking to move someone on would you want to advertise that rotten apple, makes him less appealing to prospective clubs if you want to get him off the wage bill. His Saints career is done, he’s clearly not in the plans so the best thing to do is for both parties to move on now, but it’s worth bearing in mind some of the questions above.
  10. I think the bits that some always seem to forget is that players in their latter years if they have family are unlikely to relocate on the long term. For example, Lascelles of Newcastle, as decent as he would be is not going to move six hours south away from his family at this point in his career.
  11. I know this is outlandish but these are players I’ve bought on FIFA/FM for the 25/26 promotion push: Viktor Johansson (GK) Max Aarons (RB) Charlie Cresswell (CB) Andre Garcia (LB) James Ward-Prowse (CM, loan) Jesuran Rak-Sakyi (RW, loan) Evan Ferguson I’d argue that’s a better transfer window than Sport Republic’s. 😂 At least when I have five minutes to play a game it makes me feel better about the shitshow in real life. 😂
  12. Outgoings only, most like fringe players and deadwood. Thinking about it they have actually had a semi-productive clear out so far: Bazunu, Edwards (although I think he should’ve stayed and we should’ve let another CB go), Larios recalled from loan with anticipation of a permanent deal, Fraser too. If Edozie and Aribo were let go then I’ll take that. They aren’t being played so may as well get the finances off our books
  13. I don’t think Adam Armstrong will leave. There’s literally been one “report” of a link to Wrexham and nothing more than that. Lazy journalism.
  14. When people start bringing percentages and XG into the argument, they’ve lost. 😂
  15. Multi-club model masterclass
  16. Adam Armstrong is not bang average, certainly not at this level. Also where is all this guff that “his heart isn’t in it?” Has anyone had a conversation about it? Has someone on this forum spoken to him about it? You could argue that throughout all of this shit through the past couple of years he’s been the most professional out of Russell Martin’s minions. He hasn’t kicked up a fuss. He hasn’t asked to leave. He hasn’t downed tools. Yes, he got loaned out, was that his choice or was he pushed. You don’t know. But he wasn’t playing games at the time. So if I was in his position I’d want to go and play. I don’t know what people were expecting him to do in a failing team last season. In order for a team to score goals he had to first of all, start the game; and secondly, have the support of the team to get the ball forward. When you play a back five and play as a lone striker what are you expecting? Ronaldo he isn’t, and never will be. But we should be pleased we have a player of his ability in our squad. Those wishing him out need to have a look back at the goals he has scored for us these past few years, even two months ago. He is very much a confidence player. Very good on both feet, has scored plenty of one on ones, unfortunately people will always remember the negatives.
  17. It was sarcasm but yeah I agree. 😂 He won’t be here next season, neither will Spors.
  18. I’ve said before; everyone scoffs at Adam Armstrong, yet if he was playing for someone else or against us those same people would 100% want him. Likewise if he was sold those same people slagging him off would be going “what are the club playing at, our best striker, our top scorer etc”. Can’t win.
  19. Since these post Hull “hard truths” that were called out in the dressing room we have four points from six. Progress. 😂
  20. There was a Swansea fan on here when Russell Martin was appointed and he said that the first four, five maybe even six games it’ll look bleak, we’ll lose games and be poor. Then after that it would click and we’d go on a run. Cant remember who that guy was but he was correct, we played Leeds and suddenly we looked very good.
  21. 7, 10, 24, 28, 27 They will make an appearance, on the bit of paper you have to fill out 😂 I also guessed 1-1 against Pompey but my bet didn’t go through 😢😂
  22. I think we’ll be lucky to get anyone else in. Why pay out on a striker or upgrades in certain positions when let’s face it, the board and fans alike cannot be convinced that we’re good enough to get there on large. As much as it’s mathematically possible, why pay out more when they need to cut wages and you won’t gain from it. Last year was a prime example. Too little to late.
  23. No one was saying that four weeks ago, mad really isn’t it how quickly things change
  24. You mean he hasn’t even overanalysed yet?! Oh Jesus 😢
  25. Tonda Eckhart will be gone as soon as promotion is mathematically imposssible. Johannes Spors will be gone in the summer too. Expect a gardening leave type scenario.
