Seeing as the thread as started to creep outside the Southampton area ... Goodfellas Bar in Ramee Rose Al Barsha Dubai. Has the ability to show numerous different games, and already made myself known to the manager and promised to bring in a few people to watch the game!! We will have competition for the main screen as it is the base for The Dubai Branch of Liverpool Supporters Club but we out numbered the Man You fans last week!!

Makes transition up through the ranks easier when they are used to the same style and approach to the game.

Over the last 4 years we have been to Val Thoren (3) and Tignes. I'd say VT is even better than, and less expensive than Val D'Isere, and boasts the Highest Pub in Europe!! We have been stuck with going at Easter each time which has been pretty late on in the season but still had excellent snow each time, although last season we were limited as to how much of The 3 Vallees were out of reach due to snow lower down such as Meribel and Courcheval (which is worth a visit just to see the Altiport the Rwy is totally bizarre) Sadly no skiing for us this season as Mrs EoA broke her leg in 3 places falling off a ladder and is still on crutches. Will have to make do with a visit or two to The Ski Dubai Snowdome and then go to the beach afterwards LOL

He looked shocking from the first touch, or should I say fumble of the ball. I think the big problem is the lack of proper reserve team games nowadays means a position like reserve goal keeper never gets any match practice and he looked as rusty as hell, which is a shame as he had shown so much potential before he got his injury. I though we were suppose to be setting up loads of friendly games for our 2nd XI to keep their sharpness? Got to hope SKD is back next week as the last thing we need is a fragile keeper stood feet away from the mouth frothing scum at The Fratton End.

My only visit to the cesspit. Stevie Williams did make his debut, as a few of the senior pro's had been dropped by Lawrie for over celebrating the weekends semi final victory!! The story goes that Stevie Williams was so p!ssed off when he saw that he wasn't on the reserve team sheet for their next match, that he stormed into LM's office demanding to know why - Lawrie simply asked him if he'd looked at The 1st XI team sheet yet!! Williams was brilliant that night. Channon's goal was the only Saints goal I've missed at a game I've been to. We'd gone down on a Special Train and were told that it would be leaving bang on time, which barely gave you time to catch it after the game finished even if you jogged back!! Not wanting to get stranded in Skatesmuff we left at what we thought was just about the end of the game. Just after we got out we heard an almighty roar, and assumed that Skates had scored and a few moments later The whole of The Fratton End came running down the street towards Saints end. A few moments earlier and we'd have been the 1st thing they'd have seen - lucky escape. Walking back to the station heads down, shoulders hunched up not looking anybody in the eye or saying a word, dodging sporadic slappings we just about made it safely to the platform and it was only then that we found out it was us who had scored!!

The Bubble doesn't really do you any favours at all does it? Puts you in a situation of being in Skateland hours before and after the game. Maybe they will allocate a personal protection officer to you. Just found out that Al Jism are showing it out here (Al Jazeera for the uninitiated) so I'll be down teh pub watching it - Goodfellas in The Ramsee Rose Hotel Al Barsha - for anybody out here on hols. This also means that there should be a good chance that there will be a dodgy streaming available for those who cant watch it on Satellite / TV. Not sure how well repped The Dubai Massive will be as Dubai Phil is probably going to be pouncing around with Golf Players whilst us hard core will be slummung it out down teh pub!! Please please let us win and in some style to show the world we are Southampton and we're top of the league - on merit. Not liking all these SRL reports though.
