Hoping he gets a chance to re enact this .... no doubt he'll get some scumming by the few fish botherers who make the trip, it would be class to see him get a comprehensive victory over them. Good luck Beatts.

Sorry matey didn't see this post until now!! Not that I could have been any use to you as I don't possess a watch, and the most expensive one I've bought Mrs EoA was about 200 quid!! Seems like gol and petrol are the only cheaper things out here nowadays. Contact us on dubai saints on Facebook or Twitter next time you come out as I see you can't PM us.

Just the usual suspects i guess and the same reasons as most other people on here have with them ...... The Skates ......... don't need a reason, just being a Saint is enough, but they really are the most despicable cheating bunch of *****s ever. QPR .... by association of having Redkrap as manager, otherwise they probably wouldn't be on my radar. WHU .... still living on past footballing acadamies when in reality they are a bunch of hoofers and hackers under Fat Sam. Dodgy owners to boot as well. Bompey have edged their way into the picture over the years, seemingly siding with the skates in taking the p!ss during our bad times, despite the amount of times we organised friendlies to help them raise a few extra bob in the 70's / 80's. Total pr!ck of a gobby chairman as well. They've probably replaced Brighton, now that Gus has left and we aren't in the same league. Liverpool ..... still living in the past and thinking they are one of the elite clubs. Also their fans cost us a European tour in 85 due to the Heysel Ban.

Have you ever taken a bird or your Missus or both to watch Saints?

I started courting (as we did back then) Mrs EoA about 2 days after the end of the season whilst working together in Bournemouth. She had absolutely no idea that I was mad on Saints ( although I assumed she did!!). She went a bit mental when August came and she discovered that any Saturdays we had off, I'd be up to Southampton to meet my mates for footy and beer. I tentatively asked if she fancied coming along, but luckily she has no interest in footy at all and declined - result!! She later told me that she swore that she'd never go out with anybody shorter than her or liked football!! Not sure if 3rd on her list was being strapped like a donkey, but I fail on that score as well, but do make up for it by being a toal ass most of the time. I didn't have a driving licence at the time, so when a few months later, I asked if she fancied going to Brighton, she only realised after saying Yes, that I meant "could she drive me to the match", when I asked if we could go via Eastleigh to pick up two of my mates!! Being a perfect gentleman I paid for the petrol and even paid for her ticket!! She barely watched the match but did quite enjoy watching all the posturing and the tension and aggression displayed by the opposing fans as I'd thoughtfully chosen to stand quite close to the dividing fence between us and the BHA fans!! She's never been to a match since, although has provided me with transport to many home and away games and gone shopping whilst I'm at the match!! Just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary (wedding day was close season but a 3 o clock KO at the church!!) -

Not a big fan of Fawlty Towers either then? -
Not a hope in hell of that happening ..... it means they'd have to win 2 matches to get that far LOL

Has your sporting tastes changed over time?

Mrs EoA is also from Rugby League stock - her dad played for Leigh in the 60's. I've been to a few RL games and have to say although I don't really understand the rules I find it pretty exciting and better viewing than Rugby Union. My last game was in Jan, Salford V St Helens and Salford were getting thrashed, something like 40 - 0 but fair play, on a freezing bitterly cold night with only a few minutes to go the Salford players were still going into every crunching tackle on the rock hard pitch as if their lives depended on it. No poncing around each time any physical contact was made, no arguing with the ref, no stops in play if the trainer was needed they just came on and treated the player and even subs were made without any stoppage in play. Football could learn a lot from RL. They even had warm up bikes and exercise mats next to the dug outs so that the on coming subs could do a bit of stretching and warm up before coming on. Total respect to them. It makes me cringe when I see the antics of so called football stars feigning injury in an attempt to get opposition players sent off or win free kicks and penaltys by cheating. I'd love to see them on a RL pitch for even just 5 minutes. -
Wonderful. Totally captivating. Wil have to watch it all the way through when I have time. I think that maybe the Watch With Mother VHS compilation I bought my kids age and ages ago!!

The 300 million quote was a tongue in cheek jibe at Skatesmuff! Can't remember if it was the club or the council / Penny Morepiesplease, that come up with that figure in attempt to show how much revenue the club brought into the city per year!! Of course all totally unrealistic, but when has reality ever been a feature down that way!! And of course also glossing over how much they robbed from businesses, tax payers and the council at the same time.

Coventry County Council will be livid at losing out on an annual 300 million quids worth of business and trade on matchdays to Northampton!!

Note the ......"They said it was the largest amount a woman driver had ever run up in the UAE"....... so it's highly likely she has been out performed by some of The UAE's finest male drivers
