From what I've seen this season so far, Lallana is the only person who looks capable of beating people and changing the direction of the game, so a bit surprised quite a few on this board want him dropped. We look far too pedestrian going forward and need his or Ramiraz type guile to unlock the door. Anyway of far more importance is any decent Real Ale Boozers in town or near the ground? Don't say Arkles/Shergar or whatever it's called?

Ouch ... maybe a 4am finish wasn't the best of ideas ahead of a couple of hours drive to Nottingham and humping then suitcases and boxes up a couple of flights of stairs! A Pub Roast dinner needed before setting off. In serious danger of missing KO. Oh well as long as I can see the HT highlights if there are any!! COYS

One for the oldies .... Jimmy Melia!! Because of his bald head he really stood out, and was the whipping boy of the day. I remember one cold wet midweek evening game where early on he headed the muddy ball and spent the rest of the evening with his gleaming bald head proudly displaying a muddy imprint of the ball, giving the impression he had some hair!!

Very frustrating performance, not helped by some of the most woeful displays of ofiiciating from all 3 whankers in grey. Numerous wrong throw in decisions, Osvaldo getting an elbow in the face, the save of the season by the defender missed by Webb who was only yards away, the offside against Rickie when he was at least a yard onside, and another one where he didn't go for the ball so wasn't interfering with play (admittedly I'm not up to speed with the new rules but I thought you had to touch the ball to be called offside), throw in over ruled by Webb (Hurrah a correct decision!!) every challenge by us equalled a free kick (many did, but similar Norwich tackles didn't!!). I think the Fonte challenge was a pen, but if ours had been given earlier I think the game would have been very different. We were a shadow of ourselves today, out pressed by Norwich, and no killer balls / runs in the final third. If Shaw and Clyne were good enough for the bench, surely they should be fit enough to start. No width, and no final delivery from overlaps. Lallana substitution WTF. Yet with a bit of luck a point or even all 3 could have been ours. For once an international break has come at a good time ... except for the fact most of the team will be away on international duty .... eeeek!!

Oh Noes .... if the bad press about the catering hits the headlines and catering sales plummet, the knock on effect could be similar to The old Southampton Leisure Holdings going bankrupt fiasco and dragging the club down with it ;-(

It's not so much the reason WHY they get up and make their move before HT, whether it be for a pie, pint or p!ss, or even rub one out in the bogs, it's the FACT that they cause inconvenience everybody else in doing so. The same episode is invariably repeated as they return back 5 mins into the 2nd half. On the same sore, but not catering related, unless an emergency visit to the loo has been caused by the sub standard pie and beer, are the early leavers who leave 5 mins before the end of a nail biting encounter to save 10 mins on their drive home WTF!! In our 1st 3 games of the season we have scored 4 goals from the 88th minute onwards. "Food" for thought maybe ;-)

This is very high on my long list of reason's why I hate that saggy two faced *****. It was Mansfield away, who were bottom of the entire football league, managerless and basically hopeless. Redkrap had resisted the calls to bring in any of the emerging youth into the stale starting XI in the league, and then made 11 changes to the last match a few days earlier, and picked a team of mainly inexperienced youth, supplemented only by low in confidence Delap and McCann. So a team picked by Redkrap, playing to his tactics and relying on him for his "motivational and player managerial skills" fell way short of the mark against the worst team in the league. Pretty obvious where the blame lies then isn't it ...... of course it is the players fault totally. Unbeleivably *****face used the game as an exercise in justifying why he hadn't picked any of them before, and virtually slagged them off saying that they weren't as good as they thought they were. Compere that with our whole Club ethos now. The youth players play the same style as the 1st XI and when selected, by choice, not neccessity, fit in seamlessly and get praise heaped upon them. As with the game on Tues the 3 who came on, were able to express themselves and play with confidence as the timing of their arrival was ideal, not scattergun approach ala Saggychops.

Do we play our Home Cup Games on Wednesdays now that we are in The Prem? Hope so, should be able to sneak in an extra day down south and add this match to my Liverpool away and Palarse home matches whilst in UK.

The trouble is what American's call Bacon, and for that matter, Ham and Sausage is different to us!! How long before some Vegetarian Group get the place closed , due to no Veggie options available? It does what it says on the tin, no self respecting Carnivore would go into a Veggie place and demand a steak FFS. I guess there won't be one opening in Dubai. Put me in mind of this comedy classic.

I chose my last toothbrush based on it being Red and White, and tend to buy Red and White striped toothpaste aswell!! However I don't think I own any Red Clothes, never had a Replica shirt and don't have any SFC tattoos!! But, I do spend way too much of my spare time checking on here, and other sites for any news about SFC, and have a Saints Coffee/Tea at work and at home and a SFC sticker in my car. Obsession? - No. Pastime / Hobby which I devote quite a lot of my spare time to - probably.

Although I couldn't get back for the game, watching 50000+ Saints Fans celebrating a Cup Final Win at Wemblely filled me with pride and joy, but the crowning moment for me was the pictures of Markus draped in a red and white scarf and snapping away with his camera, beaming smile, enjoying the moment and realising just what his investment had started. I wonder if back then he knew just how long he had left to live. Glad he got to see a very special moment with the club and fans. RIP Markus.
