Can't say I've particulary enjoyed the majority of international tounaments that England have been involved in. In fact most have been ball aching disappoinments after all the hype of often qualifying well. Naturally I'd like England to win, but any celebrations would pale into insignificance at what my celebrations and general sense of well being would be like if we were to win at Old Trafford, especially if SRL showed Wellbeck and Rooney how to score a classy goal or to in the process!!

Had my done about 18 years ago. Booked into a private clinic whilst back on leave, so missed out on all the normal consultation about what to do pre op. So consequently I didn't know exactly where to shave, so the whole area went (nearly saved them a job whilst trying to shave the under the ball bag!!). I didn't shave 24 hours ahead as they suggested, but just before setting off to the clinic, a decision I regretted later when they applied a spray anaesthetic which really did bring tears to my eyes!! Also all the itchinesss from the uneccessarily shaved areas as the hairs grew back was not good!! It was a bit disconcerting when the Doc asked if I wanted to watch - that's the last thing I wanted to look at thank you. The only pain, short but very intense was the initial injection into the nuts. Once again not being totally briefed on what was going to happen I mustered p all my will power to ignore the pain from the injection, not realising there was going to be a 2nd one in the other nut - I had nothing left and ouch it hurt for a few seconds!! No post op pains of note, but boxers aren't much good at support so maybe a few pairs Y fronts or dig out your old speedos for a few days/weeks. The paybacks are immense - anybody old enough to remember the Martini advert? I called myself The Martini Man - anytime any place any where, no preplanning required!! Also after about 7 days (?) of no ejaculations, you are then required to have at least one every day for the next month to flush out the tubes for a post op fertility check. Now that's the sort of prescription I like - at least one orgasm a day - come on honey - Doctors Orders!!

Have they changed the scoring system - I thought the less bookings/sending offs you had the less points you had? Wasn't it 3pts for a red and 1 for a yellow?

The term "Old" is a bit misleading!! As mentioned doubt if they are worth much, the Chelsea 1st Prem match at SMS and MLT's Testimonial may attract some interest, but not a lot.

Don't want to put a dampner on things, but it's not a Sky Game. It has been moved to Sunday due to The Sea Swans playing Euro Match on Thursday. I'll be making a (hopefully) triumphant return to The Barasti with DubaiSaints. 4.30 KO (1.30 UK) on my sleep day should see me squiffy after 2 pints!!

I was there as well!! Milton Road at the front towards the East Stand corner. My Dad, Grandad, Aunt and Uncle used to get to the ground before the gates opened for the Big Games to make sure we'd get a spot at the front. Wouldn't be surprised if the Channon Testimonial beat that figure, although the Official 31044 was probably less than actually in the ground for the United game.

LOL ... that goes without saying, even if we were 3 up with 3 mins to go!! Not that you'd have known from The MOTD highlights, but we had more shots both on 12 / 10, and off target 7 / 5 and both had 6 corners.

I was surprised to see that L'pool had 55% possession. it felt as if we had a lot more of the ball at times. At no time did I feel that we were under the cosh, and after a period of possession 2nd half, a few choruses of We are Southampton and we're taking the p!ss had me lolling!! We've done the easy part - now to beat Palace at SMS!!

He was top notch all through the game. Completely dominated the area.

We were just on the right hand side of the gangway and weren't asked to sit down once, yet everybody in the centre block were being told to sit down every few minutes. Still haven't got my voice back yet! For some unknown (probably beer induced) reason I could have sworn it was Jose who scored!! Probably explains why not many joined in with me singing Jose Fonte Baby song!! Bumped into a few of the London Saints (Ship & mitre), Northern Saints (post match outside ground) and even Nick's UI crew (HT and post match beers in Sandon Pub). Met up with DellBoy Pete pre match but didn't quite make it to see LetsbeAvenue in his pub down the road. Great day out, and only got good feedback from all the scousers I talked to post match, and a big thank you from a BlueNose on the train, he was so happy hearing my account that he missed his stop, but still had a big grin on his face when he got off next stop!! The 7-1 Payback is now settled.

Shouldn't Near Misses actually be called Near Crashes? After all they do Miss, not Nearly Miss?

Unfortunately our attempts to goal ratio is normally pretty poor, as is shots against to goals conceded - time to buck the trend please.

If we had to draw I'd prefer a 2-2, with us scoring 1st and last so that we could have 2 mental celebrations in the stands!! Even better, would be that warm little feeling that I have of us sneaking a win, as The Once Again Mighty Liverpool fall for the Top of The League Hype and come out flat against us both on and off the pitch expecting to walk all over us.

Don't mind who plays, just so long as they put on a decent show and plenty of commitment to the cause. I'd really really love it if we could win and have the players celebrating like mad in front of us at the end of the match!! That would be just perfect.

Only saw the game in the pub, but our performance on the pitch at Anfield was by far the worst I saw last season with the exception of WBA away. We showed them far too much respect and bottled it big time, so no wonder our fans were quiet with nothing to cheer. Hoping for better all around this season.
