Wenger being very complimentary towards us on Post match Interview on BBC Sport, unprompted as well. I know it's easier to be magnanimous in victory, but good to see that we are being taken seriously by top managers!! -
Exactly. I've made a similar point on another thread.

With the possible exception of the Norwich Goal, and Man U offside goal, we seem to be culpable in all the goals against us, rather than good play by the opposition!! Sunderland - 2 minutes, the shortest player on the pitch wins a header from a corner Norwich - good play by Redmond, but he got past JWP too easily and Wanyama seemed to pull out of the challenge before Redmond shot. Man Utd - good through ball BUT, Rooney was offside, so it doesn't count Stoke - 12 seconds in - simply WTF was that. Will probably never happen again in my lifetime Hull - over casual play by both Artur and Wanyama. Mentally switched off as we were so much in control? Arsenal - I guess you could say it has been on the cards for Artur to get caught out at some stage. No excuse for not wellying it when the situation was spiralling out of control. - Soft penalty. If you look at every corner over the match, similar incidents will have passed unpenalised. I think we had the record for least goal attempts against us a few games ago, not sure if that is still the case. But conceding only 7 in 12 games that include away matches at Liverpool, Man u and Arsenal really is an amazing feat, BUT amazingly it could have been so much better. Bizarre.

And normally with good reason to be so -
If that merited a penalty, every corner Stoke defend would result in a penalty, not to mention a free kick at every corner they have themselves. As pointed out elsewhere Jos is being man handled but no action taken. It's the consistency that is frustrating.

A bit extreme to say he cost us 3 points today - we didn't surrender a winning position, so let's just say he cost us 1 point. He screwed up, but it didn't knock his or the defenders confidence, he still received numerous back passes throughout the rest of the match, and his headed interception halfway up to the halfway line was a thing of beauty ;-) Due to our style of possession football, he has probably had more back passes to deal with than any other keeper in the league. I'm sure there must be some geeky / anorakish website that has these sort of details at hand. MLG?

I picked the wrong time to be at the bar. I just managed to get back in time but had to stand on tip toe to get in the shot. The girl to my right looks suitably worried ;-) -
Due to the far from ideal build up for such a crucial game with players all over the place on International duty, I wouldn't be surprised if we are a bit flat today and get torn a new one, however the mood in the camp seems to be bouyant and we could come out flying. Really don't know which way this one is going to go - head goes for a loss, gut goes for a 1-1 draw and heart goes for the required 2-0 win (Merseyside derby draw) !! #fencesitting

You can't blame her for buying some soap to cleanse herself after shaking hands / flippers / fins with fans* (*worlds bestest TM) keen to show their appreciation at her basically coercing Skatesmuff Council into approving the club saving loan. Surprised she didn't put in a claim for antiseptic mouthwash as well (and for some knee pads) used in the coercing. Avram must be p!ssed off he left so soon.

According to the trusty "In That Number" tome of all things SFC it states that we were Top of The League longer than anyone else that season - 30 Jan till 20 March FFS. Who knows what may have happened if Steve Moran with his pace and movement hadn't been injured for the last 22 games?

I'm predicting an Arsenal Coat of Arms as a Facile penis dribbling spunk and the caption Arsenal fire blanks as The Mighty Saints go Top.

Still my favourite imported player ever - and by golly there have been some strong contenders.

Southampton will stay out of January transfer market, says Pochettino
ericofarabia replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
With Gaston and Osvaldo off to Italy / Spain wherever and Fonte to Turkey, Lallana to Liverpool, Spiderman to Arsenal, and Shaw having his choice of Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal we may have to splash the cash. ;-) I am dreading this coming Transfer Window, not so much as to who might leave, but the possible destabalising effect on the team with virtually half the squad being linked elsewhere in the press. Luckily the shrewd contract extensions this summer when we were relegation candidates means we are in the driving seat should push come to shove and any rumours turn out to be true. Good luck (not) to any agents / directors etc dealing with Cortez The Killer in January. -
Just about the only decent thing he ever did for us. Seeing his name on the match day programme sent shivers down my spine. Mind you that Fulham match is right up there in my favourite Dell matches. Under the East Stand - you were probably stood next to me LOL!!

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)
ericofarabia replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Lounge
Are they all Ex pats? I thought Global Warming was 100% down to Farting Cows, I saw it on Harry Enfield (Lee & Lance vegetarian sketch) -
How is your satellite signal? A few clouds and a drop of rain (ok thunderstoms as well) and my reception keeps breaking up. Bloody weather!! FYI .... If it improves, The Red Arrows are scheduled to do a display over Burj Al Arab at 1650 today.

Not as good as Boruc's goal in training with Poland though ;-)

Oh .... and why Cat or Fox? Just for the old unhip codgers (not me of course, I'm a super hip trendy train loving Metro kind of guy) Also where do bears fit in with the cat/fox thing? Tks
-
What a bizarre post!! What is Metro sexual? Some sort of Train/Tram Fetish? What's the difference between a Dog and a Fox? ...... about 8 pints ;-)

Ladies - if a man says he'll fix it, he will. There's no need to remind him every six months about it.

Are we the most analysed club on the planet at the moment?

Test to determine your brain age
ericofarabia replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Muppet Show
9 years under my real age, and that was after screwing up badly on anagram game, was trying to type in the letters instead of drag, and the pounce on the stars, blaming not having the mouse on a decent mat. -
I'm all for it, and if it winds up journos it makes it even better!! He obviously can understand English pretty well, and will understand the questions before being translated to him, but that time delay gives him an extra few moments to think about his answer rather than firing from the hip, especially moments after the game has finished when emotions can be running high. I'm all for it.
