It's a great tactic having the translator as well - I'm pretty sure he understands most of the questions before they are translated, but it gives him an extra few seconds to formulate his answers, less chance of foot in mouth syndrome - especially at the end of games when things could still be a bit heated!!

I was lucky enough to be back home for the match last year at OT, and even though we lost, it didn't feel like it. 2000 Saints Fans completely outsung The Plastics, and the Players on the pitch did us proud. Mental celebrations when we went 1 up early doors, even if it didn't last long it made the trip worthwhile!! Pity we couldn't make any of the other 20 odd goal attmpts count. The weirdest thing for me was seeing stall holders near the ground selling 50/50 Man Utd / Saints scraves. WTF is that all about? Please please please do not act like a tourist and buy such a crappy piece of tat. I guess it's understandable that Man U fans might want one as a momento of when one of The Top 4 teams came to town!!

Last year the queue for the metro after the game was about an hour - good luck making your connection!! Don't know if being an evening KO made any difference to normal.

I think I was in there for a couple of drinks. Convenient for Metro to OT, surprisingly quiet for a matchday. We then moved down the road to a pub called "Monroes" in honour of Marilyn Monroe. Thought it would be more up market and busier - Wed night it seems is The Over 80's Glee Club Karaoke Night. I was getting the glad eye from some of the old dears in there - feck me, I became a 55 yr old Toy Boy!!LMFAO. To be fair they were all dressed up and having a great time - hats off to them all, hope I'm still as active as them!! I'm led to believe it is also popular with The Gay Community, attracted by the Marilyn Monroe stuff, but guess the Blue Rinse Brigade were too much competition for them that night!!
