Just about on the money. Mid week evening kick offs, especially Cup Matches such as LC beating Div Champs Derby County 5-0, WBA FA Cup Relay 76, Bolton FA CUp Replay Barry Horne screamers etc and league games such as Ossies debut v Leicester and Newcastle 0-1 to 3-1 in the last 4 minutes really were spine tingling special moments. As much as I loved the old girl, one of my proudest moments was walking into SMS for the 1st League game v Chelsea and thinking wow we've finally arrived in the big time.

Beer and cocktails talking here but picture this .... 23rd Nov Liverpool either lose or draw at Everton (not improbable with Everton doing well) and we win 2-0 at Arsenal, wishful thinking, but who knows it could happen .... regardless of results else where we are Top of The Feckin League FFS. I think I need to go and lie down!!

If we were to qualify through the farcical Fair Play League then maybe not participating is an option, but getting there by finishing high enough in the league, or one of the cups (even as runner up to a CL placed team) is what all teams should be aiming for at the start of each season FFS.

Have a thought for Saints Fans outside the local area who want to watch our game at their local - not many will be showing us over El Classico. Probably means we'll have a couple of TV's inside Barasti with muted commentary instead of The Big Screen / Sound outside. A good chance to see if Barca are up to our standards yet, whilst watching us do the business on Fulham.
