  1. More likely to be Tokes "It" looked remarkably like his Avatar but less make up!!
  2. LOL ... 2/10, but I blame the bottle of wine that I have just consumed prior to the test!! Re Q3 - Did Ben / DannySFC write it? No wonder I can't keep up with his posts - I'm just plain thick :-(
  3. Does Nick Holmes have any involvement now?
  4. Would never work - it'd be nonstop arguments between Poch and Arse about how steaks should be cooked ;-)
  5. THIS I shudder to think what sort of shytehawks may be lurking in the background, who would like to have a piece of EPL TV rights action to feather their nests.
  6. Maybe it was due to the smell from the bogs?
  7. A working Clock & Hot water in the ladies bogs were beyond the means of allthe previous multi millionaires to have graced stewardship of the goodship Skatesmuff. I'm sure A Club owned by the fans for the fans will fare much better. Had to PMSL as the bogs were out of service.
  8. Do you have a distance limit on how far away the nearest canal has to be? Do you accept Far Canals
  9. No problems getting there - it's getting out (especially after a mid week game). The queue to get on The Metro heading either direction were miles long and took over an hour to get to the front, even then spaces were limited due people walking to next station along either direction to avoid the massive queues at OT.
  10. Aimed at anything in particular ?
  11. Seeing as I'll be making an appearance, don't plan on anything better than a 1-1 draw!! Of the 21 games I've managed to watch Live or be down the pub and watch "Live" our record is a pretty dismal P 21 W2 D9 L10. Which means the games I'v missed "Live" = P 16 W7 D4 L5 Christ it's even worse than I thought it would be. Sorry Folks.
  12. No way can this happen!! 1/ Who would be doing The Captain Speaking chat before take off and landing to the passengers 2/ Who would the Hosties (and Stewards) fancy 3/ Who would Air Traffic Controllers berate for the a/c not doing as instructed :-)
  13. It wasn't Tehran it was Basra ... sorry Al Barsha!! You do realise it is a 1800 Dubai KO not 1900 as you advertised on FB? Next week is the 1900 KO. Quiet night for me tonight drinking wise but hopefully plenty to cheer to make up for it.
  14. Anybody hoping for a goalfest might be in for a disappointment looking at their home record. Only QPR have scored less at home, but only 4 of the top 7 have conceded less!! A tight 1-0 either way or a 1-1 seems likely ....... cue a 4-3 stonker to us then!!
  15. My head is spinning. Have a good day.
  16. I asked myself the same question when I woke up this morning after a bit of a long day on the booze yesterday.
  17. Quite apt Bridgey being interviewed by Beatts ... both having a healthy hatred of The Skates!! True Saints! plus plus http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/95883/Beatties-Chinese-battle.html
  18. What a line up we had. Keegan, Channon, George, Williams, Nichol, Golac and Watson etc. Had forgotten what a aster piece The Kat's tache was ... can see why it's worthy of being a posters name!!
  19. Oh for the innocence of youth!! 76 home and away were very edgy affairs indeed - especially at their place when we effectively relegated them whilst basking in the glory of reaching the Cup Final a few days earlier.
  20. Difficult to put an exact date on it as we didn't get to play them for so long, what with us in the Top Tier and them floundering around in the lower leagues from 66 onwards. Back in the late 60's early 70's we played each other in a few Testimonials of which our team's "non friendly" approach to Skatesmuffs keeper John Milkins's testimonial at their dump was perhaps the 1st case of widespread violence between the two teams. No tippy tappy let Milkins score a penalty match this one - we stuffed 7 past him LOL. My 1st Skate match was our 1st win in Div 2 after our relegation. 2-1 to us, and a pretty tense affair indeed, but most of the real hatred coming from them. Except for the old "Ïf I had the wings of a sparrow, if I had the ar5e of a crow, I'd fly over Fratton tomorrow and sh!t on the bastards below, below" I can't really remember any anti skates singing back then. They simply weren't on our radar for me. Hating Man U was the order of the day back then!!
  21. The Forest fans weren't best pleased that OB gave us the whole of he Home Trent End - about 10000 made the trip and one of my favourite games ever.
  22. Am I right in thinking that Bomo couldn't even bring in Free Transfers or Loans when they had an embargo on transfers? Or did I just imagine it?
  23. NC leading the crowd from the directors box in a rousing version of Joe Dolce's Shadd Uppa ya Face would be awesome
  24. Luton away 77/78 promotion season (again!!) Huge invasion of Saints fans, led to all pubs in the area being shut under police instructions. Huge queues at Tescos and Sainsbury's. Arrived at the ground with a couple of cans each still to be consumed. OB wouldn't let us take them in and insisted we drank the before letting us in. Cue bizarre scene of halfcut saints fans chucking down a couple of beers each in a matter of minutes under police supervision by the turnstiles before being allowed into the ground barely able to walk!! They wanted us inside rather than strolling around town I guess. How times have changed eh. In the mayhem that ensued after Peachy scored a penalty near the end of the game to put us top of the league with 2 games left, somebody's walking crutch got chucked onto the pitch. Looked like somebody else was legless too !!
  25. Reminds me of the fiasco at WHU last season, when they were so sure of promotion!!
