  1. Alternatively it is trying to create a more level (the bigs clubs still have an advantage) playing field. In the same way monopoly commissions work in the business world. Capitalism is not about the big and mighty destroying the little guy you know?
  2. For a passive protest people could stop following all Saints Social media.... It's surprising how sensitive companies are to social media. Although it would require quite a campaign as you'd need large numbers to stop following, it would increase the pressure if the numbers following started to fall. It's quite easy to spread the message using Saints own social media feeds and you can even monitor progress as the number of followers is available. It's also a protest people can do without effort, without not going to games and it costs nothing.
  3. Correct me if I am wrong but only four of the top 6 have won the premier league and one of them (Arsenal) haven't won it for umpteen years...
  4. You didn't say boycot away you derided his post.
  5. However the teams in the league with us would also have a lower wage budget etc...so actually it might benefit in a sporting sense, in that we are no longer competing with teams which have 8 times our income and have wage budgets greater than our entire revenue?
  6. Swansea and Huddersfield should lose today..Bournemouth could well beat Stoke and id think a draw is most likely Brighton/ West Ham. So in probability losing today won't change very much for us, other than its another game gone.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42916936 At least Arsene has finally got the reality of what's been happening for years... It's funny that he realises it at a time when his team can't compete anymore! Do you think anything will ever change? Clubs like ours have always been fodder for the few but in recent years it's been more extreme.. Mahrez being the latest to have his head turned by a big club and refuse to play at his " little club". Up until Leicester won the league there seemed to be a bit of levelling with the new money coming into the game but since then the few have just out gunned every other team, taking players at will to strengthen their own teams and in some cases it seemed like just to weaken others. I have always believed that it's in the premier leagues interest to have a strong Man Utd, Liverpool etc as they have the most fans abroad to sell the product. I am sure that referees (as part of the FA) are told to protect the brand (and that means the biggest clubs) and this probably impacts on the decisions favouring the few on the pitch, even if it is subconsciously. Maybe the same situation across every major league just says its time for a European super league?
  8. Both have had a lot of critism regarding style..Bilic too soft, Hughes aloof from the players? Don't know if it's true but I suppose beggars can't be choosers! A lot would depend on their severance package...lots apparent don't get a single payment they continue to be paid until they find another job...in that case a 6 month deal wouldn't be particularily appealing?
  9. So we have found a manager to replace MP who is prepared to wait and see if he wins at West Brom and if he does then he will wait until he messes up again? Doesn't sound likely to me, unless it's some really useless out of work manager desperate for a way back into the game? Or is it we have a target manager, like we had Walcott etc as targets, during the window but if they find a better offer then they will be off there anyway?
  10. TBF a lot believed the champions league stuff so I expect Ralph and co have got a pretty low opinion of us.
  11. TBF I may not agree with the idea of the protest but this isn't a club going through a spell of losing games.... Have you not been watching? We are in massive decline..In the last two seasons we have seen what 30 ish goals scored at St Mary's? We have won four games this season... How many games have we won at St Mary's in the whole of 2017? And yet the club apparently do pretty much nothing...we do get the odd interview or video telling us how they are targeting top 10... Like I said I may not agree but good on the OP for caring enough to actually try to organise some sort of protest...it seems most people are like me, pretty apathetic and going to let us slide down without a whimper.
  12. Look on the bright side though, Gao met with a dozen fans in China and asked them to stop supporting Man Utd and support us!
  13. Can you space your threads out a bit more in future please? Didn't read it..I just enjoyed scrolling down three screens for a few words.
  14. Yes Jack only 6 points and you'd be mid table....by the way how many games has it taken you to get the last 6 league points? You have won 4 games all season..what do you think is actually going to change to get you actually winning a game? F***ing idiot
  15. the Southampton way reduced to short term knee jerk which even the idiot of the manager points out needs to be planned better. what a great job these people have done!
  16. I am still waiting for everyone to turn around on the 76th minute wearing their clown suits?
  17. To take our minds off our nevitable slide...can I ask, why is it the Puel lovers bump this sort of thread everytime they beat some rubbish team but not when he loses to an Everton side who haven't won for God knows how long? Come on the Puel fan club let's have your excuses! (Remember when he beat Watford and one of you decided it meant he was better than Silva so bumped one of his threads then? -obviously forgetting to bump it when he lost to Watford just a few weeks before? Does this defeat mean he is worse than BFS? )
  18. Personally I think the players gave up during the Palace game. At the end they were down on their haunches as though they had just been relegated. Watching them after that game was when I believed we were going down. Last night they didn't really put much in (There may be a few exceptions) but they are, IMO , pretty much going through the he motions now. There was no fight. You would have thought the last 10 minutes we would have battered them, we were so desperate but not really we just plodded on the same way as we always do. Finally after the game..which players stayed to give the fans a wave? How many were gone like a rat up a drainpipe? Supporting them just lets them continue the way they are, coasting until the last day (we will probably be gone before then so the last few games half of them won't even get picked)...wouldn't it be better if they were scared not to put in some effort? Wouldn't it be better if the fans really got at them if they didn't try, rather than blindly supporting them?
  19. I like this cos if we are 3 down by then we can just go home instead without " is there a fire drill" sounding round the ground
  20. Given West Brom and us have won the least games in the league then I suppose a draw would be he most obvious outcome!
  21. The two worst teams in the division playing off for the bottom spot. Whilst our single away win gives me some hope, I do think we will lose..I thought we would go bottom but actually goal difference may mean we don't!
  22. Unfortunately now he owns our club there is very little we can do... Leibherr got her money so really couldn't give a **** about what happens other than she will want the rest as some point. I feel We are probably now on a Sunderland style spiral, very little if any. leadership from the top, nothing like any leadership managerially or on the field.
  23. I bet West Brom, Swansea, Newcastle etc all have their home game against us down as a "must win" game. We don't win games where we concede as we rarely score twice in a game....unfortunately we don't do clean sheets either...personally I think two more wins may be our limit?
  24. Meanwhile we sit laughing at them second from last in the table.....lol @ Everton!
  25. I think he would do well there..I always thought he would end up at Arsenal. It will be interesting if he doesn't go to see how he reacts for the rest of the season given the behaviour of a few others recently! City seem a bit random, they have gone from Evans to VVD to 57 mill on a player who has never played in the prem. Not sure the policy.
