I blame Ralphy boy...we haven't won a game since he started the motivational lunches with the team? *****.

It's obvious why the big clubs are opposed to VAR. they can only lose out by the implementation of a system which checks refs decision making process. I don't know if the refs deliberately cheat but they definately favour the big clubs and there must be pressure on them to protect "the brand" -in other words it's beneficial for the league that the big 6 remain the big 6... It might turn out that football is like wrestling, staged to a certain extent with the champions of the league decided before a ball is kicked.

Chelsea are bang out of form and they are not even trying...Conte just isn't bothered, no animation, nothing from him...they had only won 5 games in the last 20 or something like that...don't get caught thinking we got done by a decent side today...we got beat by a team that actually didn't want to be on the pitch.
-
I would also take the chance of the cup and relegation...you have fallen I tot he trap that makes teams play second string teams in an FA CUP quarter final because the premier league is the be all and end all....well it isn't. It isn't even that great..the football is boring, teams play not to lose, the big 6 roll over everyone else and then if anyone else dares to get close they unsettle the players and off they go. Sport is actually about winning trophys not about surviving in the premier league.

The irony was he pulled them back for not taking it in the right place, only to let them take it from the same (wrong spot) place and possibly when it was still moving.
-
Apart from us losing the last three league games in a row you mean?
-
They said on the radio that Chelsea have only won 5 in the last 20...maybe that's one game we need to be looking at to get at least a point?
-
Lol yeah but despite the fact that in 15 games against the current top 10 we won once, and the 16 games against the bottom 9 we won 4 times (two of which were West Brom)...and the fact that we have won only once in 19 games...we can still catch Brighton!

You have bought into the media love in as well then? Football is only important in Liverpool? What a crock of ****e... They are a bigger club. Yes but for the same reason Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea etc etc are big clubs... They had a successful spell in the past...look at Chelsea..when I was growing up they were in the second division and when in the top division they struggled. One successful spell later (due to a billionaires money) and they are a massive club..same goes for Man City. Arsenal did it back in the Chapman days.. Liverpool are 100% a big club but 100% due to past glories...if they hadn't had that they would be the same as Everton right now..one of the make up the numbers team... Football city my Arse.

I was told something different by a club employee, RK wanted to see out his contract, Reed said sign a new one or go. It was then that they contacted other clubs to get a value and Everton were willing to pay a fortune which obviously we would not match.

Lol football has moved on...we just had a billionaire? Owner who took loads out of the club ( including interest on any loans she gave them) and then sold it to a Chinese business man with no money...it is no longer a team representing the city, it's a money making scheme for anyone who gets their hands on the club.. Why should supporters feel guilted into going to games when clearly the product put on the pitch is substandard, the direction of the club is clear, the owners just want money out of you rather than support and none of the players could even care if we win lose or draw any game? Oh and the FA are making us pay thought the nose for the privilege. I will go as its a day out, there's always a chance of a shock win but I couldn't blame anyone for not going, it doesn't make them less of a fan.

Hughes to only play those he can rely on - Any idea's on who?
Saint-Fred replied to striker's topic in The Saints
TBH if that's his criteria he is ****ed.... -
Yes you are right a toxic atmosphere would be a disaster...we might not win....oh we have won once in 19 league games...we have won how many home games in the last two seasons? It isn't going to make it any worse mate... On the positive side it's been three weeks since they rolled out a player saying how "we are too good to go down" and "we are focused on Europe" .... Luckily for the board, they managed to kill us with boredom over the last two years so no one really cares enough anymore to protest.

Given the realisation generally now that the policy of selling our best players and buying lower quality has led us to this point..is it time to actually admit that the "fat cats" at the top of our organisation - those who many believe are beyond blame and should be commended for what they gave us the last few years- were actually dismantling the club bit by bit and then sold up at the perfect time. IMO we owe Kat nothing, she was nothing other than an owner making a buck out of our pockets. IMO she should be recorded in history as a villain not a hero....

I think it's pretty much settled..the bottom three, baring some miracle will finish the bottom three now. We are 100% the second worst team in the division with Only Stoke Battling it out with us for that "honour".
-
TBF another Les master stroke....saved the club another £1 / 2 million (depending who you believe) on the payment to Hughes!
-
That's quite amusing! I know Some clubs don't pay a settlement now, opting to continue to pay relying on the manager to get another club and therefore effectively resigning from the post. This one is quite an own goal though... I wonder if Stoke are paying anything of Hughes' wages?

Not really irrelevant if you have their details as you can't add them to you..they need your details to add themselves to your account.
-
It's my understanding that they have to link to you via the site, otherwise you could get anyone's number link it to yours without them knowing. To answer the original question..you were right the first time, just pick two seats out then add to basket. You are then given the opportunity to change the name the ticket is assigned to from the names linked to your account. (hence you need them added as friends or family).

As we are due to play Chelsea the week before and Leicester on the weekend, I think we will end up playing the winner of that tie. How often do you see teams playing in the league and the cup in quick succession? (We played Arsenal just before the 2003 final if I recall correctly!- luckily got their late and missed their first few goals that night!)
-
What rule? There is no "neutral ground" rule as far as I know...the rule is semi and final will be played where the committee decide...nothing about it being a neutral venue etc etc I don't think.
-
I can't see the issue with Spurs and Wembley..most years the champions league has he potential for a team to play at their home ground in the final. Didn't Chelsea play Bayern at Bayerns ground a few years back?
-
After the last two idiots I don't think we need a "hairdryer" type manager. We need someone who talks sense, that the players understand what he wants and who lets us play a more adventurous style. We have the players to play in a better style, they just need to be encouraged to not be so cautious. There are other ways to get your message across than shouting and screaming....also Getting a rollicking if they try a forward pass for example and it goes wrong won't help IMO. I am not sure he can save us- I really hope he can- however before his appointment I was absolutely 100% resigned to us going down so whatever the results now it can't be worse...I hope he gets us playing a different way, gets the ball forward quicker, gets some movement and if we then get hammered..so what? There's Nothing lost... Let's just get behind the boys! COYR!

Telegraph: Saints players are complacent, arrogant and disinterested.
Saint-Fred replied to lumuah's topic in The Saints
IT has been so obvious for weeks. IMO the day I accepted we were finished was when we lost to Palace at home, the body language after the game said to me we were finished. The behaviours since then have been astounding with players coming out saying "we are too good to go down." When clearly we are rubbish. 5 wins all season and you are not worried? 5 wins all season and you think you have earned a pay cheque? TBH there are only a handful of players I even like at our club now. Most of them, I could not give a **** if they were sold, they appear to have no affinity with the club or the fans. They have no self respect even to put in a shift on the pitch. Absolutely, collectively, the worst group of people ever to grace Southampton shirts IMO. (Led badly, granted, and not bad players but the telegraph have it right..I honestly believe they could not care less if we go down.) -
I was 100% agreeing! Lol
